This hack is truly maximum effort all the way down. Custom music, lore logbook, names for all the rooms, reworked ammo system, Boost Ball, gravity settings, Ridley throwing you onto the surface, a triple Torizo boss... This hack slaps you in the face with its love and care in the first 15 minutes, it's crazy.
The scans even reveal bosses' weak points like in the Prime games, so it's perfect for someone unfamiliar with Super Metroid in the first place.
I almost forgot that I'm watching a TAS, I'm so blown away by the hack itself. :D
The music isn't exactly custom...some of it came from Castlevania. But yes...this hack is incredible...I think better than Hyper Metroid.
I apreciate that you left the little bits of flavour text up on the screen for us to read. I enjoy all of those world building bits

The hack's only been out for a little over a month, this was quick!

With a hack this large I would have thought you would make an any% run first but I'm truly pleased to see that you tackled 100% first. Amazing work GaRan!

This is incredible. I love the super moonfalls with Grav Boots, and especially loved the cf clip to skip bowling torizo. Congrats!

I still remember when I first arrived to the verdite mines I was like "this is a super Nintendo rom hack. Why is this song from Majora's mask sounding like I'm playing the game in the 64!?"
And the part of the Suzi island (i think it's is name) i remember say "THERE'S MORE GAME!?"

awesome tas. what do you mean by the x-ray has been changed to have less use? of course, r-mode and g-mode are no longer possible because of the change to reserve tanks. but what else makes it less useful? also, i'm just curious, but how many rerecords did it take to make this? great job as always.
not very much, about 68k rerecord :) ah no, I was wrong! x-ray was still functional, but collected rather late so it had less use! :O my bad!

Can you show a non tas way to do the Path of Alacrity? I can't do this room no matter how I try.
it’s not hard :) as soon as the last shutter gate opens, run, and when you pass the 1st column, shoot (easier with Plasma+Wave) and hold L to aim down, and when you pass the 2nd column, shoot 1 more (so you can open 2 shuttler doors-always work for me), and when you are at the crumble bridge, press jump and press down twice to morph-jump! Good luck :)
@@garan1988 I did beat it and the game eventually, but no animals were saved, and I unlocked the second quest by using maps and looking other stuff up. I did get 100% items with a 16 hour playtime. I'm no speed runner that's for sure!

this hack is very big so it’s not easy to route! this route is the best I can make :) (without saving the animal, to save the animal the route will change a lot!)

Okay, actually not that bad. Still died ~10 times to this, though, so fuck this room.
Trust me I'm sure they suffered unimaginable developer fatigue during the making of this game.

well I had problem drawing the route here, many 1-way entrances! not sure if early SM is faster :/ but yeah, I have many improvements after finish this TAS :) will apply them on my further TAS!
