This is perfect. I don’t have the patience to watch a play through but these are an excellent distillation of your experience.

The extra training from "The Just" is actually from the difficulty setting, I believe.

Why did they choose to only allow new cities to be founded in certain areas? Civ games I build cities at strategic locations to say have access to the sea, control over mountain passes ect. But in this game the developers chose to only allow cities to be founded at pre-determined locations. I find that bad. Everything else looks good.

There are quite a few different 4X games with a similar mechanic, where cities can only be placed on a specific location or the map is divided into zones and allow only 1 city per zone (like Endless Legend). I think it's done to stop cities being spammed all over the map like a plague - and issue Civilization has always had.

Hey Voltage, You have 3 different playlists for Old World tutorials. 1. Old World Tutorial 2. Getting Started - A Beginner's guide 3. How to Play Old World. Which one should I watch? this is confusing. They are all very long so I'd rather watch just one of them. What is the difference between each one and which one is the best in your opinion overall? Thanks

Culture bombing is so vital to the gameplay - I don't remember this being covered properly in the tutorial... I should be doing much better on future runs thanks to this video!

I don't recall the tutorial mentioning it at all. It certainly doesn't make it clear how to grow your borders.

I have a huge question, that is simply unexplained, how is the number of years for building stuff in a city determined??? I speak about specialists, projects, growth (settlers and workers especially) and orders (troops) can someone explain. Cause I have cities that requires tons of years to do things yet I have no idea on how to fix that.

Hi. Rather than trying to explain it all here (because there are a few strange parts to this that I can't work out), I made a small video - ruclips.net/video/50GRjJ2aGlA/видео.html
I'm hoping that someone can also come along and answer the part I'm unsure about.

This game looks really cool..but do we have any idea if they will take it past the 200 year mark?

When you create a new game, you can change a turn length from a year to a semester, which will essentially make a game last for 400 turns. You can also disable the time-limit victory, which removes the turn timer completely.

there are also mods that add more turns. search "turns" in the in-game mod manager under the "install" tab

I haven't even started to look into mods for this yet. I'm not usually someone who uses mods, other than UI/quality of life improvements.
