  • Opinions on how to make the BEST Lobster Roll can be quite the heated debate! Best to always cook up a fresh live lobster, but not always possible depending where you live, Getting the freshest lobster possible is the best option. Plus finding fresh brioche rolls is optimum but not necessary. Soft potato rolls will work too. #food, #tasty, #easy
    Ingredients:
    Freshest Lobster Possible: Live, tails, whatever you can find in your area.
    One Stick Butter
    Split Top Brioche Hot Dog Buns or soft bread/rolls of your choice
    Directions:
    If you are using frozen lobster, thaw them in the fridge the night before.
    Prepare large steamer. Lobster stays sweeter if it is steamed.
    Use a large pot with a fitted steamer insert.
    Boil the water and place steamer basket in so water doesn’t enter the basket.
    Place desired number of lobster/tails in the pot:
    L: 6-7 oz. Lobster tails: Steam 6-8 mins.
    XL; 8-10 oz. Lobster tails; Steam for 8-10 mins.
    XXL; 16-20 oz Lobster tails; Steam 10-12 mins.
    Cook per the above instructions.
    After the time listed, remove from pot and place on rack until cool enough to hold.
    Extract the lobster meat from the shell. Chop tail meat in large chunks. If using whole lobster, keep claw meat whole along with knuckle meat.
    Reserve all lobster meat in a bowl.
    Melt Butter in small pot.
    Place rolls on pan and spilt the tops, not slicing all the way through.
    Butter each side of the rolls and brown each side. Set aside and save extra butter.
    Fill each roll with copious amounts of lobster meat ( you want to be generous here )
    Drizzle melted butter over the lobster meat in the sandwich and eat/serve immediately!
