I just want to say two things, I started playing the guitar 2 months ago, and thanks to you, Marty, i've learned so much so fast, you are an excellent teacher and i love your videos. the second thing is that this is a very fun song to learn and i've been having a blast playing it!

You're doing well to be getting anywhere with this after only two months of playing. Well done mate. I've been playing nine months almost and ice just got round to trying this, I'm managing most of it and I should have it down quite soon, tho maybe not as smoothly as would be ideal. It's so satisfying learning new things on guitar and when you realise that you are managing stuff that you were really struggling with a few weeks prior, it's great. Only wish I'd started years ago.
@A D the fender Stratocaster is a good start imo, you can go onto reverb or Craigslist or OfferUp to get a used strat which what I’m trying to convince my parents to get me one for $100, and a good amp, the one im looking at is the fender frontman 10g and from reviews it seems good for a beginner, good luck on your guitar journey!
@@KINGMARS413 a fender stratocaster for $100?! You better jump on that my friend. Maybe I'm missing something? I just bought a new Squire (50s Classic Vibe) Stratocaster for $400. All squire's are designed and backed by fender, but they're not quite fenders.
Hey... I think you're just a tad off, Marty, At least, according to Rocksmith (which may have just overcomplicated things) you don't just barre from 3 to 5 and then up to 5 through 7, there's an extra chord where it goes from the 5 through 7 barre, hits a different chord, and then goes back in quick succession. Any idea whether that's more accurate, or just unnecessarily hard?
I would love the solo! This is a really fun song to play for beginners getting into bends, hammer ons, and vibratos. Thank you, Marty, couldn't have starting guitaring without you!
Marty. I started playing guitar a little over a year ago. I started out by playing Free Falling (your video) and now I'm here playing Jimmy Hendrix. I'm self taught and you've taken me all the way. Thank you SO much for being one of the best teachers ive EVER had.
Thank you for breaking it down so easily. I have been playing guitar my entire life, then took about 15 years or more of not touching it. I am back to it, and this type of instruction is paramount on having fun and learning. Great job.
Thanks for the excellent tuition Marty. Got my first electric guitar 5 weeks ago and your videos have been the most helpful and fun to watch. Love the energy and clear advice. Keep up the great work you're a really good teacher.
Thank you Marty for another awesome lesson. I tried and failed to learn the guitar from the age of 14 and gave up. Now I'm 32 and have been playing pretty much every day since January, and now I'm feeling so proud of myself that I can play a song by the amazing Jimi Hendrix 😁🎸🤘🏽
I like your strumming here. It takes a while to get a good and flowing strumming (especially when you're a beginner), but when you get it you feel so good and you get such a boost from playing this song :)
Wanted to learn this song since I was 16. Kinda noodled since then, decided 3 weeks ago I want to finally LEARN, so I went out and got myself a nice thinline tele. I'm 30 now and am ready for this solo. *decided to bar the chords like Jimi because its easier for my fingers and I love the feeling of expression it has to do things in an unordinary way.
