Seeing Axl live for the first time what was your thought about him and GNR? Did you imagine they would explode worldwide? Did you think to yourself : this guy is great this band will not go out unnoticed?...
I did not although I knew axl was a ferocious front man and singer right away . Once I heard the song mr brownstone on a UK single in 87, I knew they were gonna be big .
When are you going talk about your band Sweet Pain? That was a good album and it ended all too soon. I wish you guys would've hung in there. Just came out a couple of years before Guns, Poison and Cinderella hit.
Wow! You've experienced what many fans only dream about. I mean, seeing Axl Rose in the early days. Im shocked yr book hasnt been published. And I have BA in English literature, so I can usually tell when a book is a good read.
Always cool stories! We had great friends in Queens that probably ran in the same circles back in the day. The oldest brother was a huge metal head. I was just a kid but simpler times indeed.
Another great video! Keep'em coming, I was jonesing. This one was pretty funny. I can imagine Kelly and Bret laughing while you were getting a beat down.
Please please release the book in some form if you can’t get it published, I’ve been following this for a while now and I’m really looking forward to it
Man those 2 Circle Jerks records on Combat, particularly VI, were killer records. I put VI on par with Appetite For Destruction and LA Guns (technically first week of '88) as far as raw kick ass LA rocknroll from '87
Thank you for following me. Duties? Pretty much everything and anything. You are in charge of moving a dozen or more crazy people from place to place without losing any of them, paying for all the perks and mistakes along the way with a bag full of cash and hoping everyone arrives back home when it’s all over in one piece.
Guns N Roses played three nights at Perkins Palace. I was there the first night with TSOL opening up (Junkyard opened the second night). Fred Coury of Cinderella filled in for Steven Adler on the night I went. Do you remember if he filled in for Steven again on the night L.A. Guns opened?
Mike! The stories are great, remembering how all you slightly older (than me) guys were back then, always animated & unbelievable stories as they were happening then! Question: Wasn't there a bass player standing in for Kelly on that 1st AC/DC tour? I didn''t go to that show because I think it only came to Jersey...if I'm remembering right, who was it? I know they went out a few years later as a 4 piece with Mick on bass as well, that I saw...thanks, keep 'em comin'! 👊
Hello! Yes mick cripps filled in on bass but that was later on the cocked and loaded tour. Def not the AC/DC tour . The whole first tour in 1988 Kelly was on bass. Thanks for checking in 🙏
That feeling of excitement when I saw a new upload from you on RUclips my Wednesday just got much better.

I don’t remember. It was my first show working for the band and I had alot going on. I do remember there was alot of tension backstage!
Yes,,,,, I think I remember he did!
Cool stories did you ever get your book out?
Thank you. 🙏 yes it’s available on Amazon. Tales From the Gutter and other Rock and Roll Shenanigans .
Oh nice to see ya here..
The best!!! 😃 My fave dude out there right now. Btw Dec 27, 1987.. wasn't that the date of Nikki's od?
It was right around there. A day or so before or after . Maybe it was that day! I do remember people talking about the OD at the gig
@@beforeiforget1985 it was actually Dec. 23... so yeah.
Great job as always.

Back then anything that had the importance label I bought. Need a combat shirt. Ha. Stories are fucking awesome. Keepum kummin
You lived it !!
🙏
Do you have any GNR stories?
A couple 👍🙏🤘
Today Bret seems like a down to earth, fan-loving dude. Was he that way back then or was he different?
He was cool back then. A lot of fun
Are you still friends with LA Gunns?
Sometimes . Thanks for watching 🙏
Which girl did you wrestle?
Who knows ! They all look the same 😂
@@beforeiforget1985 Just wondering if it was Candy? You had several pics of her on your instagram
@@ropemancometh candy was a stripper not a mud wrestler. There are distinctions!
@@beforeiforget1985 Candy from the Tropicana, friends with Tracii Guns
@@ropemancometh it was not her
