Jada dropping wisdom as per usual! This was really full of gems. Thank you for the reminder that "being better than our parents" isn't a calling or purpose, being more like Christ Jesus is!
As always I am encouraged and challenged after listening/watching - my dad passed when I was 16 and I am now 54 and I am still " a girl " who needs her dad - no he was not father of the year but in my eyes he " hung the moon " Thank you Jada for the reminder that the "God spot " has to be filled by God ( no other person or thing ) and that he is the Healer of our wounds
My father left the family when I was 5years old, the next couple of days, I met a woman that pastored a church down the street from our house. She invited me to come to Sunday School and my mom told my brother to take us that Sunday, that Sunday school lesson was "God Is Our Father"; Jada, I could never forget it! and it made so much sense to me. From that day, my concerns was only to live my life so that my Father (God) would never leave me. I never was able to hold a grudge towards my father, because I realized he had to leave so that I could have the perfect father. My life has been dedicated to pleasing my Heavenly Father, not because I think he would leave anymore, but because he's been so GREAT to me as a Father.
I am so glad this was recorded and I got to watch it back and fully digest it. The Lord really spoke to me even more the second time around for points that I missed. Thank you Lady Jada, Dalya , & Darrell 👏🏽
Excellent conversation. To God be the glory. I was able to see I need to dig deeper on my healing journey. Addiction was reference several times but if there is another event like this can you talk about different types of abuse. You are correct your father treatment does effect your relationship with Father God.

Excellent exhortation that the goal is not to be better than someone else, but the standard is to be an imitator of Christ. Well stated Jada.
