There is not enough to learn grammar and vocabulary, that we must learn so impredictble pronunciation... Thank you for these fascinating explanations. Probably I'll never remember them in future but they're really interesting. Greetings from Barcelona!
Hola Antonio ♥️ Greetings from united Arab Emirates I Adore you an how you expressed out each words by correct pronunciation....God bless you all the time ..😊
I am a teacher of English and find your lessons most informative and interesting. It's a language easily learnt but difficult to master and that is where teachers like you step in and are of great help to those wish speak quality English Do keep up the good work
OK, I admit - up until "forecastle" I had been doing great, but this word just killed me. Still so much to learn apparently. By the way - you are a great teacher Antonio. Thank you for your hard work.
You're not the only one. But how many people, native speakers or not (apart from those who've made a ship their home) would know how to pronounce it? Probably zilch. And why would anyone wanna learn a word which no one knows or need to know in all languages of the world.?!
When I went deeper to learn the English language, I found it wasn't an easy language at all if you want to get to the advance level 😅. So Antonio, you're really awesome !😊
The way you teach English is out of this world, I just can’t stop watching your short vids and I love them all♥️♥️♥️ I consider you as one of bestest English teacher in the world 🌎 Thank you Antonio♥️ The universe loves you& whatever you do I’m 100% sure you’ll succeed💯♥️
I really enjoy watching you teach English and how to pronounce certain words. I discovered that I've actually been pronouncing some words wrongly. Thank you.

Native English (American) speaker here. I've enjoyed the 2 videos I've watched. I really enjoyed "genre" when you said essentially, "It's French, which explains the pronunciation." Also, I thought I'd send a British limerick that confuses anyone not British. There once was a young man from Salisbury. Whose manners were halisbury-scalisbury. He went around Hampshire Without any pampshire And swore that he wouldn't walisbury. The trick is that Salisbury is commonly known as "Sarum" and Hampshire as "Hants". From the very first video of yours, I couldn't stop myself from watching your videos. Your lessons are somehow very interesting. I'm learning a lot. Thank you!
as someone who works onboard a ship this is actually surprising. Forecastle and specially boatswain are words i hear a lot but always mispelled, great to know now.
Stai avantiiii!... così diciamo a Roma, sorpresi dalla capacità di qualcuno...adoro il fatto che tu ci faccia capire la radice della parola e il motivo della sua apparentemente bizzarra pronuncia! Ed è utile che tu parli unicamente in inglese, il che ci aiuta ad esercitare l'ascolto
I am French and the difficulty of English is not the grammar for me, but the pronunciation! After 36 years in America, I still mispronounce some words🤨 I just discovered your channel and love it! Thank you.👍😀
Antonio Maybe you will never see this coment But I want to tell you that I want to be like you when I grow up, you're one of my best inspirations at the moment to speak in English, certainly I have to practice more...but thank you so much for teaching me 👍
Ciao Antonio! You have such a good ear and your enunciation and pronunciation is really good! So much better than most native speakers. I watch because I’m interested in languages. Unusual surnames are often stumbling blocks, for instance: Cholmondeley, (Chum-lee )and Farquhar (Far-ker ) A mistake frequently made by Americans is saying West-minister, ( I guess they are thinking of all the politicians housed within), when they mean West-minster. A minster is a type of church, in this case Westminster Cathedral, just across the road from Westminster, the Parliament in London, England
Here I am, speaking from Brazil, to tell you how amazing you are, Antonio. Thanks for all the hints you give us. Just to let you know, I used to be a translater with the Brazilian Airforce and graduated as a teacher of English. I’ m 70 years old and still keep learning a lot from you
Lo sigo en TikTok. Ahora aquí. Me encanta. Ya lo escuché hablando español. Quedé estupefacto. Usted es excelente en todo. ¡Que Dios lo bendiga con mucha salud! Muchas gracias. Mil gracias.
I never knew “forecastle” and “boatswain“ were pronounced that way and I’m a native speaker. “Victuals” I knew was pronounced weirdly but couldn’t remember how!
When u could speak English like a native, but it even amazing when u master French, Italian etc that makes a sense reasons for those different pronounciation
Wow, I really liked this capsule, I am French-speaking and I work in English. really thank you, I never know how to pronounce them. You are an exceptional teacher, merci 😊
Never skip to watch all the videos you uploaded. Love and enjoy to learn English from you. A lot of fun, clear and easy to understand. Thanks a bunch, Antonio! 💐 Bow-sn sounds like 'bosen' means bored in my language actually
If we got teachers like you for English we don't need to struggle now....no words to say awesome teacher...i really like your teaching style relating the pronunciation with which we know is what we really want i used to pronounce board in cupboard you really corrected it by explaining it more clearly that it is pronounced as 'bird' not 'board....thank you soo much😊
I watched so many different program s like yours but your Vedio is the very best for me you can pronouns and speak very very good ,for my oppenion very excellent and thank you so much I have learned a lot from your program…….
I learned much more from your videos. Very educational, useful and helpful. By the way I am so greatful for ELSA speak. That's amazing! I found everything what I needed to learn about speaking skills. I can't thank you enough. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks a lot, Antonio. Due to this video I got to know the pronounciasion of some English words: quay/kee/-long structure, worcestershire/wծ:stծshծ/- long construction; awry/ծ'raī/-something wrong but used ;forecastle/fouksl/-emigrant ship; boatswain/bousn/-ship officer; victuals/vitlz/-food;🙌
Hi, Antonio! I have been watching lots of video tutorials in English and I am so grateful that I happened to come across your videos. You really are soooo amazing! Your videos are so helpful especially that I use them as ine of my references for teaching English as well. Thanks to you. Keep it up. 😊😊😊
Wow, Antonio, thanks so much for this video - as an non-native English teacher in Germany (but having lived in Australia for over 30 years) there ARE words that I had either never heard or have mispronounced -boatswain, forecastle, even victuals (we have the word 'Vi*k*tualienmarkt' in German!); 'awray' I only heard of, and heard it pronounced, a couple of years ago!.... I also love how you explain the etymology, you are brilliant! Un abbraccio della Germania.
Hi.... Antony you a literally step up my English level thank you so much keep good work...2 months later I can't keep a discussion in English during 2min....but now I'm turning step by step confident.
I don’t even need English studying now, but RUclips suggested me this Chanel and you’re so astonishing, that I can’t help but watch 🤪🙂 just wish you all the best ⭐️
Even though I already have an understanding of everyday English words and terms and wouldn't really need to know words like victuals or boatswain for the most part I really love these videos, they're fun to watch, and educational, I like to learn new words especially when I can use them in conversations but still learning new English words and their pronunciations for me is really fun so thanks a lot for these videos.
I just got to know your YT channel and am completely in love with it. Love the way you enunciate the words so easily, wish I could do that, but being a stutterer myself, it’s very hard for me, so I tend to speak slowly (even in my own native language - Brazilian Portuguese) - my stuttering is on a really high level I just wanted to point out the Elsa app’s accuracy though. I have a few native English speaking friends, they’re American and Canadian, and Elsa scored their speech level at 75% - 85% - and again, they’re native English speakers, so please you guys, don’t rely so much on that app, it will certainly help you with some valuable tips, but its accuracy is not 100% and sometimes the way it requests the words to be pronounced, is not the way native speakers would pronounce them on their everyday conversation Peace out!
My English is not even that bad, but for some reason I'm stuck on this channel. This guy is so sweet🥰. I've even managed to learn something new already. Such a nice content
Oh, I just discovered your channel.. Honestly, your content and teaching way it's really exceptional.. And I am learning a lot of things from you, thank you so much, I appreciat it.
Hi Antonio, Yours videos are very interesting and very helpful. I improve my English thanks to yours lessons. I'm french and I realize that many words used in English come from french. And I know you speak french too 😁
I soooo love your videos Antonio. I'm also an English teacher for foreign students, teaching IELTS. And your videos are so helpful as I also ask my students to watch and learn from you. So thank you so much for all the videos that you do. ^^,
Thank you. Your lessons are effective in teaching English, even to native English speakers like me. I sometimes find that the language tends to get corrupted here in the US, particularly when words are deliberately mispronounced for effect. These mispronounced words eventually find their way into the lingua franca - a phenomenon that happens often, and is not unique to the English language. While that's one way for language to evolve (an unavoidable progression perhaps), it is important to reinforce proper pronunciation.
I love learning more pronunciations because English is complicated in pronunciation ways.from this learning channel i have improving my pronoun levels little by little. really thank you so much...♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I love and admire your videos and it really teaches me a lot. Hope you continue to help in the correct pronounciation of each words. Thank you so much. God bless you.
Your English, as well as your knowledge of the route of words and other languages is amazing! The word “colonel” has bugged me for years! Haha I wish we could pronounce it the way it’s spelled, but the French explanation made me feel better.
Hello Antonio..your videos are so wonderful, first of all they are not so long so they are not boring, secondly they are useful and interesting...u r amazing by the way... Thanks a lot🙏

There once was a young man from Salisbury.
Whose manners were halisbury-scalisbury.
He went around Hampshire

And swore that he wouldn't walisbury.
The trick is that Salisbury is commonly known as "Sarum" and Hampshire as "Hants". If these are applied then it makes more sense.
