This brings great memories. We where in Amsterdam for a long weekend last year, and there is sooo much to do there. We spent the days mainly walking through the never ending maze of street and canals with the beautifull houses, and many many shops and galleries. In the evening we went to concerts is Paradiso and the Concertgebouw. Unforgettable!
It really is one of those cities that a pleasure to walk around, or bike around, or boat around, or drive around, or transit around, etc... no other city is this kinetic!

Hi. I went to Amsterdam where I traveled 4 years ago. It's touching to see you again. I want to go again. Thank you for the video. I'll come back again. :)
Hello, as a young Moroccan 🇲🇦 student of history books, I believe that what the Netherlands has achieved in terms of progress is, thanks to God, thanks to the good Dutch people and the kind royal family, especially the mother Patricks, who relinquished power to her son ten years ago, so that the Netherlands could become the most prestigious country. Thank you.
The Dutch Royal Family has few to do with the "success" you allude to. In fact, there are ongoing debates off abolishing the monarchial symbolism of the Dutch Royal Family because it has vast expenses, paid by citizens' taxes.
@@gerben2559 I never implied there were formal political debates; I meant civil discourse. And in this spectacularly expensive era, people look for opportunities to cut cost wherever they can be found. You're arguing semantics.
I like this city becouse has a beautiful places and I notice people of Amsterdam they drive bikes very well and I think they don't like driving the car's .... that's good sometimes
@@FinanceWageSlave It’s a great country to live in. You just have tunnel vision on income and taxes, or: money. And apparently you don’t value healthcare, the best infrastructure, well arranged public transport, lots of labor rights, a culture where anything else is more important than your job. If you don’t care about these things then yes, I can see how you don’y like it.
Compare this to an average city in my plastic country (Jesusland) where everything is designed around cars. It's good to know that places like Amsterdam even exist.

To cut down on all that Cycling traffic and ugly bike parks they should consider making more pedestrian only roadways so people can get around more peacefully and safely.
Right... "cut down on all that cycling traffic". I don't think you really understood what is going on. And by the way, when you "cut down the bicycle traffic", the result will be that you increase (!) the car traffic, which will worsen(!) things for pedestrians.

Interesting. I think most big cities have become extremely expensive for travel. Especially after covid when the entire world decided it wanted to go explore.
I watch Not Just Bikes all the time, but am still shocked and just HOW MANY BIKES are on the streets!
There are so many bikes its hard to believe that there's even that many people.
That's Amsterdam ;-)
Too bad America is not like that.
Because it is one of the cities with the highest population density and that is a big problem. That's why they can't have a car.
@@ElevatorInteriorDesign There aren't. We have 17,5 million people living here and we have 23,5 million bikes. And most of us don't even ride a bike.
What a beautiful city.
So full of life.
Compare that to the car dominated US.
Tears in my eyes.
