In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ruclips.net/user/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.
Could you provide a step-by-step process, with matching video, of how to set up a Lowrance Hook? This is my first unit and I'm still learning. Thanks. Or....do you already have that video?
Just a small question if someone would/could answer is the Chirp equipped to picking up another sonar echo coming from the bottom on the floor of the ocean? will or does it recognise it?
I have a lowrance hds 10 and would like to know if a 1kw transom mount for an aluminum boat is available and would it be an advantage in depths of 300mtrs any advice would be appreciated.
Hi very good vid I just bought hook 5x HDI, Im new to fish finders this is supposed to the easiest unit to use should I leave the unit on auto or should change the settings, I see structure, dept and temp but no fish most people say to look for bait fish and I don't see any. I know there's fish.please help Thanks
HOOK² 7 Fishfinder/Chartplotter Combo with SplitShot Transducer and US Inland Charts I have the unit mentioned above and for the life of me cannot figure how to pull up the different type of screens options that I see on the box it came in and online and your website to show me a side-by-side shot love chirp and sonar at the same time. And I've been told it can't be done but it sure is on your advertisement and the box and paperwork it came with but after playing with this thing for over a week I just cannot figure it out. I wish there was a tutorial on the unit showing how to pull up all options it wouldn't take 5 minutes and that was help so many people online
The side imaging on my sonar shows the right side really well, but fades quickly on the left side, which has my outboard. It is on a 2x4 that extends well beyond the prop, which was the best available location that would not be subject to damage from the trailer when pulling it in or launching. It is level with respect to the surface, so I don't understand what is wrong. Could it be the turbulence from the motor?
I have a hook2-7 on my hobie pro angler 14 kayak I don’t know why my fishfinder will not read nothing but speed now I checked connections kinks in the wires checked the prongs at the unit to see if any were bent check the plug checked the transducer it pulsates in the hand but it’s still the same if anyone has the solution to this problem I am having would be greatly appreciated
Hi It is rated for up to 1000'. The ability to sound to that depth depends on many factors. If you intend to fish salt water and consistently in water deepr than 500' you may want to consider a more powerful unit
Lowrance has one big flaw. Customerservice is very very poor, but Units are good (if they work). One good idea would be that the Transducters get marked so you know what you have in your back. There is nothing on them at all.......
@@lowrance Yes. Yust simple Transducter Model 1-2-3 or X-Y-Z or something like that.......that would help A LOT! You need more Vids of the Sonars with RUclips basics and pros. You know how long i needed to get the Info that plus/minus and power loose power keep p/m takes you to a Coldstart or Hardreset ..... way toooooo long. Now it works flawless but find that.....

Hello I have lorence hook reveal 7 tripleshot a have a question. Maximum to sea a fish in saltwater thanks
Can it works like radar, the image shows fish position around sonar
so snapper trolling from 60 to 90 meters which frequency to use high chirp or medium chirp?
Medium chirp would probably be more useful. We'd definitely alternate between the two to see what suit best in the situation.

So I try to activate sonar and it just shows the cartoonish fish instead is it missing something?
Please send us a message, with some screenshot of your sonar returns, via Facebook.

I want to buy a lowrance, and can I buy it in uk?
How do i zoom in the land area?
Pres plus n minus buttuon
does this work using the standard 83/200 skimmer transducer or do you have to use the airmar 150 chirp transducer?.
They say it does work on standard 83/ 200 transducers.
+Lyle Wilshire you want 83/200 plus 455/800 trans for fresh water not just 83/200.

Thank you for your comment, we're working on it.
There should be a label attached to the transducer which identifies it, if that is what you mean.
