  • 2nd session in a new car and new platform! I was fortunate to come across this track build C8. The previous owner, Alex, owner of www.motoroso.com did a fantastic job with the build and I only need an oil change, new tires, and GM track alignment before hitting the track. Go check out his youtube channel ‪@Motoroso‬ for all the details of the car.
This is my first MR car and the dynamic is pretty different than the BRZ and Camaro. It's kind of similar to the Model 3 but the CG in much lower in the Model 3. Right now as the car sits is very easy to drive at 9/10 but when approaching 10/10, it gets spicy. The rear tires are doing a lot more work and it is the first time I have the rear wearing faster than the front. Front end of the car is super sharp and direct and overall has virtually no understeer. Rear end feels much heavier and I am still learning how to best trail brake into corner entry. The rear end could definitely use some real aero as the High Wing Spoiler doesn't provide any more downforce than a regular z51 spoiler.
Thanks to TDW (formerly known as THE DRIVEWAY) for the spot on track alignment as always.
PS. will look for a better location for GoPro in the future.
    Moments:
2:38 - sliding into bus stop
2:54 - Riverside exit slide at 97 mph
6:30 - another big slide before bus stop
6:43 - I've never counter steer at truck stop before.
    Mods:
    Brembo BM6 380mm BBK - front & rear G-LOC R8
KW V5 4-way (need help tuning these!)
    Forgeline 19x9.5 & 20x12
    Goodyear Supercar 3 265/35ZR19 & 305/30ZR20
Anderson Composites High Wing Spoiler, Splitter, and Side Skirts
    Magnaflow X-Mod Cat Back Exhaust
    GM track spec & PTM - Race2

Bravo. The commitment! Having that front end be so direct looks great.

Yeah I love how direct and fast the front end is. Very similar to the BRZ, except I got a 800lb powertrain in the back now.

If you want to cut lap times, settle the car and make it more responsive you might try a Speedway Composites Chassis Strut X Brace

Lots of time left. First day in MR platform and damper isn't really giving me confidence yet. Yes, z51

It's good! Shifts lighting fast and doesn't get in the way.

I was surprised to see it in Drive. It didn't look like it slowed you down at all, pretty cool.
