Excuse me, this is for free? You are writing my stories with those videos! When you describe the process, writing feels so easy, natural, FUN and like the story almost writes itsefl! Thank you so much!!!!!
This is SO helpful! I was trying to outline with super small details and was like omg I’m never going to actually get to telling the story! Super helpful! Thanks for taking the time to make this video 👏🏽
Awesome information, thank you Megan I really needed to hear this. Have no idea where to begin. I'm starting a Blog and want to start by telling my Story for the first Blog article. Outline will be very helpful for me. Thank you. I have subscribed to your channel. Thanks
A very, VERY Old Guy here. Our first language is not language, it is Emotion. Emotion is easy to show and explain the impacts of emotional change. I worked for NASA, a Major International Bank and the Federal Reserve Bank, Disaster Recovery System. The smallest problems can cause major problems and loss of income and life. Can't get more emotional than that. If I had thougt to outline my 'story' I could have saved myself hundreds of days. Yeah, I'm here to learn how to Outline my fictinal story of of four boys recovering from the death of a friend over 90 days of summer. Can't wait to get started.
You should teach billion dollar hollywood studios this. It seems they really need the hlp lol But with all seriousness, thank you so much for the help! Ive been struggling to write anything concise even for an outline and this really helped me put things together.
i really want to be an author when i grow up and i can see that this will help me lots and i very much thank you for that!! my only question is, because you start writing it in the middle, how do you start outline it? do you start at the first page/paragraph or leave a space? or is there another method? thank you!!
I'm so glad you found it helpful! ^.^ I always outline before I write, so I start my outline in the middle, finish the outline and add as many details as I can, then I start writing from the beginning, following my outline :). I hope that makes sense!!
I tend to get myself confused on how and what to write about. So far, I have an idea that I want to write about a character who loves to be alone because she enjoys it and loves to read, but I don't know how to fill in the gaps and what else to add it about?
Hey Brenda, I'd suggest watching my video on making a story premise. What does your character need to learn by the end of the story? The process of her going from A to B to learn what she needs to learn can then form the foundation of your outline. My biggest tip for you would be to start there and give your character a problem they have to solve or a goal they're trying to reach.
You managed to write eleven words here. Writing a story isn't difficult. Just start at the beginning and finish at the end. It doesn't have to be a novel, it doesn't have to be thirty-thousand words long, it can be as short as five hundred words if you want. Writers and authors make writing sound difficult. It isn't.

Aw thank you!! I'm so glad you've been finding them helpful and that they've made writing more fun. That's how it should be 🥰
You could always buy my $1000 writing course; I teach writers their ABCs
Fascinating idea, to start in the middle of the story.
Thanks! Let me know if you give it a try :)

I'm trying the Save the Cat method. It's something like a three act structure.
Oh awesome! That can be a helpful resource depending on the project you're working on. Let me know if you find it helpful!!
Great, I’m going to give it a try. I love your wooden crate bookshelf by the way, easy to reallocate.
Yay, thank you! ^.^
