  • Tried to do this with Metroline but the driver was slow so i just ended it and I must say I prefer it with London Transit as the drivers are fast. A downside is that i got on the route around 1ish as my train was delayed by 15 minutes due to a signal failure. Back to the route i would rate it 6.75 / 10 it definitely has its boring parts but it ok ig.
    History
    Route 295 commenced operating on 17 June 1967 between East Acton and Hammersmith via Shepherd's Bush as a Monday to Friday service. The route was operated by London Transport from their Shepherd's Bush (S) garage with AEC Routemasters.
    On 7 September 1968, the route was extended to Wandsworth Bridge.
    On 17 June 1972, the allocation was transferred to Wandsworth (WD) garage and the route was converted to one man operation using Daimler Fleetlines
    On 25 January 1975, the route was extended to Clapham Junction station.
    On 28 October 1978, the route was extended to Battersea Park station.
    On 25 April 1981, the route was withdrawn between Clapham Junction and Battersea Park Station.
    On 23 November 1983, the Daimler Fleetlines were replaced by MCW Metrobuses.
    On 11 July 1987, the allocation was transferred to Westbourne Park (X) garage.
    On 21 November 1987, the allocation was transferred to Shepherd's Bush (S) garage.
    On 24 October 1992, the route was converted to midibus operation with Plaxton and Wright Handybus bodied Dennis Darts and the allocation was transferred to Victoria Basement (VB) garage. A Sunday service was introduced at the same time.
    On 29 January 1994, the allocation was transferred to Battersea (BB) garage.
    On 23 May 1996, the route passed to London General but still operating from Battersea (BB) garage.
    On 22 June 1998, the allocation was transferred to Stockwell (SW) garage and the route was converted to double deck operation using MCW Metrobuses and Northern Counties Palatine bodied Leyland Olympians.
    On 28 October 2000, the route passed to First London operating from their Westbourne Park (X) garage and was converted to low floor single deck operation using Marshall Capital bodied Dennis Dart SLFs .
    On 1 February 2003, the route was converted back to double deck operation using Plaxton President bodied Dennis Tridents.
    On 29 October 2005, the route was retained by First London.
    On 15 September 2007, the route was converted into a 24-hour service.
    On 30 October 2010, the route was retained by First London.
    In September 2012, the Plaxton President bodied Dennis Tridents were replaced by brand new Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs.
    On 22 June 2013, the route was included in the sale of First London's Westbourne Park garage (X) to Tower Transit.
    On 31 October 2015, the route passed to Metroline operating from their Willesden Junction (WJ) garage with brand new Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5LHs introduced.
    On 29 October 2022, The route passed to London Transit operating from their Westbourne Park (X) garage temporarily using existing Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B5LHs and Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5LHs.
    The Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B5LHs and Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5LHs will be replaced by brand new Enviro 400 City EV bodied BYD DD Electrics from 2023.

      Maybe if metroline used gemini 2's on 295 it would have been better
