Thank you for bringing awareness to this, I really appreciate you for making this video. Hopefully me and haunter can come to an agreement and go our separate ways. I never wanted this to happen, but I really had no choice since he blocked me every time, I tried to contact him. Thank you again
If someone trades a card and afterwards it's found to be fake, it nullifies the deal. He owes you all of your cards back. If he doesn't have all of them, he owes you whatever he received for the ones missing.
The amount of scamming in this community is insane. Makes me glad I don't get involved and just buy from the source. Would never buy from these random people on these random platforms.
Yeah it's not all bad, there are plenty of sellers in the Whatnot community that are legit, honest, good people. Are there lots of scammers? Sure. But there are scammers on every platform, marketplace, offerup, eBay, you name it. It's just about weeding out the bad ones. Idk this Haunter guy, but I will always stand up for my peeps on whatnot who I know are good 👍🏾. Hmu anytime on the platform and I will point you to some good ones @steady_rippin
AI summary: This video investigates a Whatnot seller named Haunter's Vault who is suspected of selling counterfeit Pokemon cards. So wait they met in person to do this trade ? Or just agreed what cards to trade and shipped them over to each other? If they met in person did he not have enough time to check the card before handing over his cards 🤔 he could have just taken out a card from his binder from the same set and felt the front of the cards to notice how different they feel or at least I would have done that first. Also note meeting at night is also a huge red flag 🚩 making it easier to notice the card is fake. I need more info on the actual trade part, which is the most important part if you ask me 🤔
We did meet in person; I got fooled by him because I trusted him from all the good reviews he had on whatnot and offer up. I didn't really do any research on the lugia like I should have since we met that same day and believed it was real since he said he pulled it and had several others that he had(never owned or seen the lugia in person before that's why I had no clue until afterwards when I compared it to real ones from people in the Pokémon group I'm in). He did not let me take the card out of the sleeve since he said it's very rare and he does not want to damage it etc.
He had legit items that he brought but the stuff was mostly lower end nothing that adds up to 3.4k that I wanted. The high-end items he brought was the crystal Lugia and Charizard, and an evolving skies booster box that ended up being resealed a couple days after finding out the lugia was fake. I was kind of obligated to trade for the high-end items since he did come down to my neighborhood, but I wanted them since I thought they were real and untampered with.
@@TooSlowbro8823I'm sorry you had such a bad experience my friend, I got scammed off of Facebook marketplace and traded a fake PSA 10 Espeon Vmax a couple of months ago, it sucks because hindsight is 20/20 but in the moment you want to believe in the community and honesty of others. Also, most of these scammers are rushed and rush you so you sometimes get caught up on it all. At least that is what happened with me. Anyway, hope you get it worked out! I'll definitely do my part and keep an eye out for this guy on the whatnot platform
Dude my wife and I used to babysit a spejjcial needs boy and he made and played with better looking fakes than these LMFAO! I am 100% not joking and sure many of his cards were really bad but he had whipped up a few similar, if not better than those shown in video LOL! if it wasn't such a scamwich it would be truly funny. Thanks Rattle!
First immediate red flag to me is how impatient the person is in the verse first conversation. I cant stand when someone sends multiple texts/messages within minutes including one message that is just "?????" After just a couple minutes. That annoys the hell out of me and would result in an immediate no business with me and probably block them. Cant stand that
4:20 its recommended to always meet in public spaces to meet people ypu dont know. Safety first, i dont want some psycho knowing where i sleep lol kinda common sense
Im unsure but on whatnot when you make a purchase you have access to a video recipe is this not a thing if they hide there stream? Ive never seen a hiden stream all sellers ive ised leave them visible. Here in the uk whatnot is great only one scammer ive heard off all the sellers ive delt with have been top sellers
@@TooSlowbro8823I do group submissions for grading and he sent me a bunch of cards. When I heard this I looked through them to see if your cards were there and I’d send them back to you.
looks like hes banned :) "This account is temporarily inactive- he user associated with this account has been temporarily removed for violating Whatnot's Community Guidelines."
I’m surprised he hasn’t deleted his social media accounts yet to start fresh. Or if he believes he’s clean make a post on his socials to communicate with his following.
These trash streamers sure do make it difficult for legitimate sellers to make a fair living. Whatnot lets anyone and their momma stream with no vetting process. I can’t stand these scammers, but the fault really lies upon whatnot. I’ve put 2 years of my life building my channel and every week theres a new scandal pushing buyers out the door. I’m tired of it. Hope some other company swoops in and buys them, runs it the right way, its going down the tube.
Only people on whatnot are broke and looking for free pokemon cards in giveaways it's absolute dog 💩 and for people who want to buy as they always get took advantage of and or scammed !

having both parties involved in this video duking it out in the comment is crazy lmao

For real. The only platform i buy off is ebay. And even that can have its issues but they are very few and far between.
Greed will make its way into any community as soon as dollar signs are seen. It’s a sad sad world we live in
It’s not all bad out there. There are a lot of scammers everywhere. I’ve seen a ton of positive stuff in the pokemon community as well though.

I'd use it over any other online site your just as likely if not more likely to get scammed on other sites.
This happened to my buddy Nick, I feel so bad for him...

That’s it Rattle, you need to create your own selling platform. So many people are being scammed as seconds pass.
Thumbs up if you are a first come first serve type of guy.

Man it’s legit scary how much content you got on scammers 🤦♂️
I saw a video of someone using a handheld metal detector on packs to tell which packs had holos, and it was working on modern 151.
Can't a cybercrime be handled by the FBI? Just saying. Fuck scaring them, get them in some real trouble for pulling this shit.
I still remember when pokemon cards came out back in late 90s. There were more fakes going around then real ones.
If a streamer is wearing gloves to sell cards....you know it's not going to end well.

Hey rattle, I have a really interesting case for you to present. How can I arrange a meeting with you to cover the details?
Malik nabers is a football players name
You can see all the raw cards on the shelf (the 1EB Holos) are also fake.
The G baller carpet and trainers 😂😂😂😂😂
This is wild. I was in his stream and told him bro why you charging for these cards…. And he blocked me from stream…😮
*Gasp* a WhatNot scammer! Who could have seen this coming?
Acquiring minds want to know….. Is he using gloves, to hide his hand tattoo?😂
I’ve bought some art rares for my collection from him. Really sucks to see this shit happen to people
people sell old ebay and offerup accounts so most likely he found it on some site, bought it, and then used it as leverage with the feedback
Great content over all!!
But def. the best part of your videos are when you read scammers text out loud, lol!!
The casual "I do stocks for a living." Huge red flag
