Totally agree with the fear of committing a sticker to it's place :D I LOVE that you've written postcards to authors and put them in the journal, that's so sweet 💜
You are so kind to comment! I am glad you enjoyed. Readathon's have been so fun for me, and I think they help me in my monthly spreads because I don't have to come up with a theme, I can just build off of whatever readathon I'm doing.
Your spreads are always so inspiring!!!! Maybe one day I’ll slow down enough to actually get back into my reading journal and make it at least half as beautiful as yours!!! 😆 (My problem is that I don’t give myself time in between reads to make the spreads. I just go go go. 🤦🏼♀️) I have to prioritize my journal more! ❤❤❤❤❤
That was me too! I would get behind and then not feel excited about it anymore, so I never caught up. That’s why I’m focusing more on doing full pages artsy spreads for the books I’m obsessed with and just writing some quick thoughts about the rest of my reads. Just enough to remember them, but not enough to distract me from the things I really want to remember. I hope you give it another go! Don’t worry about catching up. Just start where you’re at! 🤩
I totally get the sticker anxiety 😂 I am the same way, but I’ve been working on not hoarding and using more. Cutting the pages out was stressful to watch but I totally understand with how beautiful and layered your spreads are. Amazing job with this journal. 🥰 also you got the star fall journal from archer and olive! I didn’t think I wanted it but it looks so gorgeous and I kept missing it in the store 🤣
Thats my goal too! I have so many beautiful stickers, but I tend to only use the tiny little stickers like stars or flowers, and not my beautiful vinyl stickers from artist sub boxes. But I want to showcase them, too… so it’s a battle for sure. I was more confident in cutting the pages out since I had just done so in my previous journal, and I knew it would hold up better if I did it at the beginning so they were more dispersed. If you wait for the end it has more potential for falling apart. This was the Archer and Olive journal i wanted most, but I was blown away by the color. I feel like it is much more vibrant than their website suggests. It’s so beautiful. I got the mermaid and ship ones for future journals too. This whole collection was love at first sight!
Are the letter stickers you used for the Chapter 2 purchased stickers? Or do you have a cricut you're using for them? I love how you did the layouts for each city!🌎
I actually cut them out free-hand. I don't think I would have the patience for a cricket. Everyone has their strengths, and lettering is mine... electronics certainly are not though 😅
Your spread looks amazing. A very creative way to journal. The travel blog effect is cool. One question. How did New Zealand end up in the Indian Ocean?
Thats so sad! It’s probably the difference between a graphic designer and a cartographer making the maps. I would love to travel to New Zealand one day. Do you live there?! It looks so beautiful in photos and films.
where did you get the country pictures, the map, and postcards pictures that you used for the readathon spreads? i want to recreate this but for a summer of traveling reads spread!
I used Canva to make the windows with the country photos, and the map pack I got from JoAnn Fabrics. The post cards were part of that same paper pack. That sounds like a great spread full of memorable traveling reads! Here’s a link to the paper pack -> www.joann.com/180-sheet-8in-x-8in-maps-ledgers-cardstock-paper-pack-by-park-lane/14412787.html?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_lLbuSMIsxfHqHU2AjTEVEIZ0Xj&gclid=CjwKCAjw7s20BhBFEiwABVIMrcOqtVlFzWtyDL147nRaaP_MWu87IjsLAKSFooVquMT7S_WHY5vkdRoCevAQAvD_BwE
Lol! I know. It’s hard to see, but there is a box around it. I think the map maker made it in a larger scale and then stuck it on the wrong side to fit 🙃
Simply beautiful! I am so glad I found your channel!!! A recommendation for a dragon show: House of the Dragon (HBO Max). 🍓
I am so glad you're here!!! I really enjoyed the first season of HOD, but I have yet to watch season two. Gotta re-subscribe to HBO!
I am in Minnesota and was on team Fantasy for The Amazing Readathon. Read 32 books during that time
You were on fire!!! I Hope there were some new favorites among those 32 books. Which was your favorite?
Totally agree with the fear of committing a sticker to it's place :D

Well, I need to learn to get used to it because I just ordered a bunch of stickers ;P
loved all the details, and the dedication to put to the readathon spreads omg! 🍓❤

Loved this so much! You have the best ideas for creative spreads!
Thank you so much for your kind compliment and taking a moment to encourage me. I’m so glad you’re here! 🥰

One question. How did New Zealand end up in the Indian Ocean?
👀 lol! I know! The paper pack only included 5 styles of continents, and Australia and NZ were combined on that page. It was a weird map set.
There is a really faint white box around it, so I think that it was intended to be a pop-out so they could scale the country larger.
@manda_made At least New Zealand is on there , So many maps leave her off all together ❤️

The location of New Zealand in these maps is very distracting 😂
