Best show ever made! 🙌🏼 yikes, now I’m worried for book two 😅 Ruth Ware is like, solid 4-star thrillers for me, and Imogen Church is one of my favorite audio book narrators, and she narrates most of her books. So it’s a win-win for me.

So GOOD! I also think it was different than I expected, but I really loved it anyway. I liked the different glimpses of history we get.

I kept hearing amazing things, but thought "it's sci-fi, you'll hate it." I am so glad someone picked it for our bookclub because it took that pre-conception away for me.

It was so fun! I love that we chatted the whole month too, even though the readathon was technically just one week. I've been watching Rings of Power too, so it's been a whole season of LOTR. (Perfect way to start fall!) 🍁

Three readathons is a lot, and hosting too?! 😅. I did that to myself in August. Thankfully most of the prompts I was seeing this month were pretty flexible, and would allow double ups well. Have so much fun! I hope my video sends a few more friends your way. ☺️

Awe! Thanks Chloe! Totally agree with you about Lock Every Door… I wouldn’t have made the same decisions lol. I go back and forth on Colleen Hoover books. I loved Verity, and enjoyed it Ends with Us, but I think her books could use a LOT more editing. Then again, romance is not my favorite genre, so I can’t rate her too hard. Just not my thing.

@@manda_made I haven’t actually matched my books up to the prompts. I like to read classics and I have 5 that are on my September/October pile of possibilities. For spooky season I have eight of Edgar Allan Poe’s short stories. I enjoy sci-fi movies and tv, so HG Wells’ The War of the Worlds has been on my radar since I was a kid. He was a Victorian author so I am getting a jumpstart on Victober with that book and two others of his. Anthony Trollope is another Victorian author that classics readers rave about but he is new to me. I am going to try out The Warden.

That all sounds like a very classy reading month! If you want something whimsical between your classics, try Big Fish by Daniel Wallace. Only 192 pages. I just read it and was blown away.

No way!! I love how similar we are! 😂 Every month I am shocked at people’s creativity in starting a readathon. So many cool ideas!!! Still working on my Magical Readathon Journal. It’s looking so good, but I won’t have it done before we start fall equinox. Have you added anything else to yours?
