    I had an old "book journal" that I got as a freebie from a book store years ago, and it's really just lists. I've filled up the "books I've read" section, and don't really use the others, but I loved the experience of keeping a paper log of my reading. But, for 2024, I've been so overwhelmed with all of the reading journal examples online, and the pre-made ones you can buy. Decision paralysis!
    But I found your video, and your journal ticked all the boxes, and now I feel like I have the inspiration to finally put my own together! Thank you!

    This is probably the best readingjournal set up Ive seen this year. Just... practical! I am working on a long term collections reading journal and I am setting up author pages very similar to yours!

      Yes, I use it to keep track of my favorite authors published works but also for Challenges that I know I want to do but wont complete in one year only :) @@biblio_creep

    I am reading all of Stephen Kings books over the next few years and im super excited!! The Stand was SO GOOD - i listened on audible and finished within a week or so. I am currently 3/4 done with IT - its by far my favorite scary movie, i can watch it everytime it comes on but the book has so much detail and it tells so much more than the movie, honestly. Im going back and fourth between the physical book and audible because the narrator who reads it is the BEST ive come across. He brings the book alive. Im so picky with narrators but he is my absolute favorite. I absolutely recommend reading The Stand, IT & Pet Semetary, as your next books. And in that order. The Stand was honestly so good its in my top 5 books of all time.
    Love your reading journal! I have been an avid reader all my life and fell away for a couple of years.. i have read a pitiful 10 books this year but it had motivated me to read 50 next year and i want to start my own reading journal so thank you for posting yours. Tons of beautiful ideas! Im definitely a horror buff so im thankful to find someone who loves the same genre as me... I RARELY read romance or romcom type books.

      Thanks so much for the Stephen King recommendations! I love to hear from other horror people. And one of the reasons I started this channel is that it is hard to find journaling content from horror readers!

    really nice! loved the spreads and the vibe. My only "critic" is that it was a lil bit difficult to hear you. Don't know if it is the audio of your camera or just the room. All the good luck! Hope you show us how you fill your journal

      Thank you! Yes, I was having audio issues, but I have bought a new microphone so things should improve after the next video!

    3:27 that green ink is so stunning! It's so bright what ink pad do you use? Or do you write with a calligraphy pen instead of a stencil??

      I used acrylic paint pens and wrote by hand for almost all of the titles. The link for the pens is in the description!

    How do you download your book covers to print on the sprocket?

    • @biblio_creep
      @biblio_creep  8 месяцев назад +1

      I just do a google image search for the covers, then save them to my photos on my phone. Then it's easy to just import them into the Sprocket app!
