This song even though it was written in England had a deep meaning here where many of our loved ones were in far off lands where war raged.As a boy nearing his teens this song meant much to me,I had an uncle involved in the long range bombing of Germany in those trying times.I knew what it meant,and wondered if an uncle would return home each time the news reported a bombing raid on Germany.
I think there is a Russian proverb which says: "Hope is the last thing that stays even when everything else has been taken away from a person." The point in your talk reminded me of this concept.
Many are wanting to come see you in concert Christmas 2020. I wonder if it will be? This song is wonderful and I hope you can have the concerts. But what I hear from the few people I write to in Norway, they are very unhappy with your government! One was so upset bc the kindergarten children had to report back to school. I think if my children were young at this time, I’d home school. Even though you can go back to town, please reconsider. Stay home, but if must go to Oslo, most masks protect others....but they have masks that protect the one wearing it. Maybe put something in the news papers or TV ads, even radio.....Everyone wear a mask!!!! Wash those hands or even wear vinyl cloves till back home. You have a lot of clout! .....And please look up how long that virus lasts on different surfaces. It will floor you! If you are feeling tired or have a slight cold, it makes you a target! None of us could stand loosing you! You have become so important to so many! Even checking on your mom, take a different set of clothes before letting yourself in to her apartment! Use alcohol and paper towels to wipe your hands and her door knobs! Please be careful!!!!! Pray science comes up with a vaccine!!!! Soon.....
