for what its worth, this movie did stay pretty faithful to the original franchise and didnt butcher the characters atleast

i also agree on ur voice actor takes entirely. jack black, charlie day and chris pratt were all phenomenal. however, i think seth rogen's voice was super annoying. i felt like we werent watching DK, we were just watching seth rogen
I mean fair enough on that DK assessment. For me it worked simply because Seth Rogen's voice is already effortlessly goofy, but I can DEFINITELY see an argument against it. Well said.

Yeah sorry Mario fans.
But the Mario movie is above average at best yet the two Sonic movies has better stories.
Maybe the hypothetical sequel will the fix this movie's issues.
I think their only best work is minions because they are the main mascot. Mario shouldn't have a movie in the first place!
