Do you know any books that are like The Golden Bough and it's not as biased as it? There must be books that correct him and respond to him IDK?
My first inclination is to mention the work that Joseph Campbell has done. He’s not as thorough as Frazer in juxtaposing the myths though. I use Sharpe for my comparative mythology classes, which is useful but also not as exhaustive
The most approachable is Joseph Campbell's *Masks of God*, but Joe did make some mistakes.

You’re quite welcome! Perhaps it’s more a matter of time? That happens to me with Plato. There are some bits that I just have to put down and come back to later and give it a fresh read when I’m in a different frame of mind. I think it helps to wait long enough to forget so that it’s fresh again… of course my memory has a very short half-life, so I don’t have to wait long 🤣
Secular pursuits and efforts to discern the meaning of comparative gods of myth is impossible without a foundational source of truth. That narrow path that leads to this truth isn't some vain philosopher opining away on some allegorical journey that leads to a pseudo-understanding of stories that are paralleled in all cultures. That foundational truth is the KJV Bible. Tether yourself to it so that you don't venture into relying solely on worldly intellectualism that only leads to false conclusions. All mythologies were born in Genesis 6.
