I've read A Discovery Of Witches twice, the first time was more or less straight through (I also had to buy the series a second time as I lent the trilogy to a friend's daughter and she said she's a slow reader, but got both lots second hand, so it wasn't a big investment); I've also watched the TV series (was most annoyed by the portrayal of Ysabeau, since in the books she appeared so young) I've just discovered there's a fourth book! argh!
I actually love the Serpent & Dove series! The second book definitely falls victim to middle-book-syndrome, but the final book is one of my favorite conclusions to a series of all time. The reveals had my jaw on the floor, brought it all back to the very beginning of the story- it was incredible.
Hoohoo, Big Sumer Book Haul! LOL I can't wait for Cassandra Clare's release. I read Hooked and loved it, I really need to continue since i have the next 3 books.
I love the Discovery of Witches trilogy. Yes, Shadow of Night is set mostly during historical times but it provides some wonderful character development, imho. I would say give it a chance because when I read it the first time, I found some slow points but there were some other parts of the book where I just couldn't put it down. I love how Matthew and Diana really worked on their relationship while in the past and it actually has a big impact on The Book of Life, which is book number three. I actually love the whole series so much that I have lost count of the number of times I have reread it.
Loved Hooked (absolute filth 🤤) and the rest of the series….and The Lost Apothecary was beautifully written, not so historical, more about the two female leads xx
Hey Becca great to see you back in another video. I got Swordcatcher through and I am intrigued to hear your thoughts as I have started it and I recognise characters from other authors within the writing. I am a Cassandra Clare virgin so this will certainly be an experience. So far with it though so good.
Broken bonds is the first naughty book that I read I just finished books 3. These books make me feel like a bad girl 😂😂😂😂 saving the other 3 for September. I wanted the cool first print edition of fourth wing but I’m not paying $130 for it but I really liked the book I want to reread it to annotate my copy
I really hope you like Shadow of night. I loved A discovery of witches and am a history fan, but I couldn’t get in to this one. I thought it was boring and with way too much politics.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE coming across a fellow uk booktuber! First video of yours and I am already a new subscriber! I'm hoping my channel can grow like yours has! Deffo going to be doing a shout out for you on my channel! Lots of love, Dolly xoxo
You pronounce Catriona wrong. It’s Catreena. I have a friend with the name so that’s how I know. Shadow Of Night is from my favourite series EVER!!! I loved The Lost Apothecary too!!!
I am not a fan of fantasy or retellings. And the ONLY book in this haul I have read is Shadow of the NIght - Book 2 in the Discovery of Witches Series. Probably my most favourite series of all time!!
Really didn’t enjoy Broken Bonds. It didn’t just read like a wattpad story, it read like a _really_ bad wattpad story. There are about 300 f-bombs per page. It was such a juvenile and whiny book.

Giving this a thumbs up just for the title alone. I love it 😂
Thank you for making me giggle with the title of the video, lol 😂
I really enjoyed the lost apothecary! I hope you will enjoy it too!

I’m so jealous. You have the Cassandra Clare book. It hasn’t been released in the USA yet 😢
Omg your shirt! My daughter would love that. 😊❤
Love your hair!
I love your shirt! So cute!

You’ve read all the New York books except one! Sounds like it’s time to read The Vanished Birds 😊🥰
The All Souls Series is one of my favorites and Maybe in Another Life is a good one as well!
I've fallen in love with the Magnolia Parks series 😅 its so addictive
THE LUNAR CHRONICLES WILL FOREVER BE A FAVORITE SERIES!!! Those Fairyloot editions are BEAUTIFUL!!!
The Lost Apothecary was so good! Hurts to hear anyone didn't like it 😂 Fingers crossed you enjoy it! 🤞🏻
So many amazing books! I can’t wait to get my hands on the new Cassandra Clare book. I want it so bad.
A very impressive haul!! Light Bringer scares me - it's pretty - but I'm scared.
I'm loving your hair so much recently, the colour pattern really suits you!
I recommend the audiobook for The Lost Apothecary. I enjoyed listening to it more than I would have reading it.
Ahhh your shirt is the cutest 😍
I prefer big book hauls to monthly ones, not sure why, I just do 😊
What a haul! Some amazing books there

I just hauled Hooked last month. I’m very intrigued by it.
I would sell everything I own to get a swordcatcher arc 😭 she’s probably my favourite Author
I've finished up order of scorpions by ivy asher and it's AMAZING

Taylor Jenkins Reid backlist books are bloody amazing, One True Loves is fantastic
I think you might like The Last House on Needless Street
I have Hooked and I have to say that these books are written better than the Wicked Villains series especially how that series ended out
All the books ❤

The blood gift was so disappointing! Hopefully you enjoy it more than I did

Ugh, I thought the same. I listened to the audiobook so it was very prominent that it was only swearing and no plot
That accent tho
