As a Texan currently in all of this I’m so glad I have months and months of food storage!!! Even our local fast food places are closed and stores emptied so luckily I had all my food!
I bet your channel sees huge growth with Texas followers! I'm from TX and that's what brought me here. It's so crazy to see all the shelves at stores completely empty due to panic buying and stores having to close for electricity outages. Thanks for providing all of these great tips!
This is something I was thinking about doing for months. Now that we're on the tail end of the ice storm here in TX, I think it's time I take the plunge. Thank you for the video!
I just bought your download. Wow!! This is one of the nicest that I've seen. I can't wait to print it out this weekend and see where the holes are in our own food storage. Then I need to get seeds ordered for the garden this year. Thank you for the tools and inspiration.
I live in Texas and have luckily lost NO power but have lost water. Thankfully, knock on wood, NO busted pipes. I was stocked up on things already (not the extent I would like of course and that will change) but my bottle water is dwindling down since I was put on meds 2 days before this hit which I have to consume more water with. Just my luck huh? Thank you for this guide that I WILL be purchasing. We are purchasing a new house hopefully later this year and I told my husband it WILL be a 4 bedroom ONE room dedicated just to food storage and if not a 4 then a 3 and we WILL be adding on that room (he's a carpenter as a hobby) for the food storage. HE thought I was crazy at first BUT NOT anymore!!! LOL
I’m so loving your preparedness videos - please make more! I’m in TX girl and this storm has shattered our state. I just discovered this way of life a few months back so I’m no where near being fully prepared. Question - you said you do your inventory once a month. Do you not go to the store more than once a month?
I’ll be sharing this video and the others with the ladies in my Texas ward. I have been stocking up this past year and seem to be one of the few in my affluent ward. But hopefully they will be prepared soon for the next thing!!!
Hi Ashley!! How are y'all doing?! I've been praying for y'all and everyone in Texas. Great tips. My mom always rotated the cans and everything. Hope y'all have a great evening. Stay safe, warm, AND healthy. God bless.
Hi this is sharon again i just saw how you work and do your pantry and your prepping pantry i think that is a wonderful thing to do it gives me some good ideals for my pantry so i just wanted to say thank you so much and have a blessed day
Just wanted to let you know that Berry colossal crunch contains AZO which can have negative effect on childrens behaviors and concentration (google it). Love your videos!
I’m not in TX, I’m in southern Utah! But we just moved into a new home with a cold storage room and I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to start our food storage! I’ve been hooked on your videos! Do you have an Instagram where are you share any more tips and tricks?!
We are so lucky we have this extra space!!🙏🏻 It was a selling point for me with this house! If we didn’t have the space I would definitely dedicate our hall closet or space under our beds to food storage!👌🏻
I’m so grateful we have a basement with extra rooms!🙏🏻 If we didn’t, I would probably dedicate our hall closet or under all of our beds to strictly store food!
Could you do a video going a little more into the details of how you chose your 7 dinner recipes and how you will prepare them in an emergency? I’m having a hard time finding meal ideas for food storage as we eat so much fresh produce and breads. How do your storage meals compare to your normal weekly groceries/meals?
Wow it's awesome the space you have to store all that food. We're in Texas too, thank God we didn't get any power outage, and that we were able to get all the food for two weeks in advance. The stores were empty of food and water on that week. I would love your binder info too! Do you have a link?
Does your family like nutritious cereals? Your notebook is phenomenal. Can't imagine the time it took for you to develop it. Helpful video. Like the expire dates on product.
This looks like a great system for many families. Unfortunately, I'm diabetic and I have some food allergies in my family, so my pantry looks very different.
question: In your long term food storage do you always make three rows of the same food like 3 rows of ranch 3 rows of peanut butter and do as much as the depth of that shelf? I am wondering because I am working on my long term pantry. Also, how many rows and how high do you stack canned foods in your working pantry?
In Extreme Couponing they stock up on things they won’t use because they got it for free, she stocks up on items she will use and rotates it so it doesn’t get wasted.
There's a spelling mistake on the front cover (preparDEness instead of preparEDness) and I noticed the same in the etsy shop. Just thought I would let you know 😊

I’ve seen some SCARY pictures of stores completely sold out of food!! It truly is terrifying to be in that situation!!😱
@@ashleyhuze girl we are just thanking God for the truckers coming with food!

I need to figure out how to have a food storage for a plant based life style. Love the organization.
wonderful content Hangin With The Hughes. I smashed the thumbs up on your video. Maintain up the fantastic work.
Just purchased your ebook! We just moved to the Middle East and I wanted to start creating a storage system. This is awesome! Thank you!!

YESS!! We never know when an emergency will come. It seems as each year passes they’re more frequent!😰

So much inspiration but I don't have enough room to stock up like that! I can keep some extras, but your room downstairs is a dream!

I would totally love to get that binder. How do we go about getting it?? Thank you.
Good freeze dry food..works too.
Great info! Do you ever use a freezer for 3 month supply items?

My family will not eat any of that food. Nothing in cans. So were screwed.
Same ☹️
Same lol.
Get a Harvest Right freeze dryer to make your own long term food storage.
Same😂. I’m pretty sure my family would starve in a dire situation. It’s all homemade and fresh here.
