Billy can you answer this, why was the first row of riders who rode through the flagging tape not penalized or DQ’ed? Why was Manual Lettenbichler not penalized for having his Dad spot him at Carls diner?
I'll take a chance and answer that one. The trackcrew messed up in the marking of the start area and all the top riders knew exactly where to go and just went for it. It was clearly a mistake from the organisation's side. Riding straight through (and not around) the fence was maybe not the best move as it got caught in the wheels, but in the heat of the moment you don't always think 100% clear. As for why Manni wasn't DQ'ed - everyone can have a spotter/minder. It's not considered help to be yelled at. It's considered help if an outsider (read not a rider) touches you, gives you tools or in another way interfere physically with the racing. Something like that 🤓
I enjoyed this video, it was great to see the comradeship among the elite and the lead up to the event, how well did Jarvis do to get where he did from where he started. Roxy cam was great, super up close with "I'm here",stay safe man. Your video makes me want to hop on my bike and get stuck on a hill somewhere!
Brilliant job billy , simply brilliant mate. I watched every minute of the race live on RBTV and have done for years , this was so much more technical in the woods I thought. GJ had incredible comeback through the field tho not quite making the finish is shame . best of luck on your continuing treatment on wrist and foot . The vlog was top job , appreciate the effort by all👍🏼👍🏼

One of the best vlogs yet, I was excited to watch the live race but have been even more so waiting on this. It didn’t disappoint…. Apart from matey taking a crap under the umbrella 🤣
That extreme steep loamy uphill section from a water start at the bottom with a sharp right turn at top (that was shown on other other channels) everyone was having trouble with because they were sitting down. From my time riding up steep monster vertical sand dunes in the deserts of SE Cal., if you are standing up on the pegs with upper body over the bars, your weight drives down thru the pegs to keep the rear wheel driving and your upper body keeps the bike from wanting to lift up. That is probably the only section I would have aced. I enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles, but would never want to wrestle the dang thing as much as you guys do over those large boulders, that is not my idea of fun. Good Luck and heal up.
