/watch?v=eiICJgQNi68 This guy has the best idea I've seen. No need for a flow visualizer if you have a flow switch installed... And a visualizer is only good if you are standing there watching it.
That project is also progressing. However, when I get this laser running I will swap out some of my Enigma 3D printed parts with laser cut 5mm acrylic parts.
Very nice JOB ! Looks like a Proteus flow sensor knock-off. No need to get all the bubbles out. You may need a higher PSI pump, or heat exchanger. Or you can use a sink faucet attachment, to the pump and the temp will then remain constant.
Thanks for the tips. This is all new to me so I am learning as I go. My plan was to use a cooler for the water and put ice in the cooler. Can you recommend a pump? I tried to find the highest letter per min pump I could on Amazon.
Just stand the whole thing on it's end, air bubbles bleed out in seconds. The power supplies blow mostly because of the under spec rectifier, more recent models come with a 6a rectifier which fixes the problem.
Really enjoying your series and plan to do the same as you on several of your mods. I do have one question though. As related to Water Cooling, can you tell me if their is a recommended placement location for the water reservoir? Does it make any difference if the water reservoir level is above or below the laser level? I look forward to hearing your thoughts soon. Thank you.
How much did u pay for a used one plus dhipping?...and were the problems due to design ir were the problems due to it being used defective?...there is a used one by my area for 200$ inckudes extra new laser tube too.
@@Commsprepper seems like a lot of money for a used k40 when a brand new one is only about 340 usd..and knowing that laser tubes (most costly and fragile consumable part) have very limited life..the risk is too much in my opinion unless you got it for 50 usd..but thats my opinion....fyi why you speak american english and refer to euros? seems a bit odd to me.
You should warn, that if you not doing new brackets for co2 tube, you shouldn't lossen the tube to fire out the coolant bubbles because you'll need to align the beam to the 1st lazer.
I do not think much of people who make promises or say they are going to do things but never follow thru with what they said. Where is the video you mentioned, that would cover the 'other problems'? Since I see no additional K40 videos, I guess you lost interest in it, or it was a failure.
always pissed. I'm in Germany. I want to cut plywood and plexiglass with this thing. Still waiting for the laser safety glasses and replacement power supply.

Cool to see a Commsprepper video it’s been a long time. Love your video, can’t wait for an update on the Enigma

Hank, good to see you posting again. I'm still waiting for the Icom IC-705 to become available in the U.S. Cheers, Mate.

I keep the water reservoir at the same level because my pump is not very strong. I get better water flow that way.
Hi, was looking for the same type of water sensor in amazon and can not fine it. would you happen to have a link?
That stuff is over my head. But cool to see a video from you!
Thanks for watching!
Super cool, man.
I hope so. If not the tube will burn up. Thanks for the comment and channel support.
Is it possible to get the .stl for the water flow temperature housing?
I don't have that SD card anymore. Sorry.
Nice, when you get that working watch out with that power. We welded with them. W4GSM
Still waiting for the proper laser wave length safety glasses and replacement power supply.

Good point! Thanks for pointing that out. I will add a comment about that in my next K40 video.

You should not have to redesign the retail machine. If it doesnt work as it should just return it for a refund.
I purchased it used off of eBay and is was clear it was dropped/twisted (or something).
