      I’m trying today! @discocurls I notice on your before and after and then after 1 month, your hair looks shorter in the final pic. Is it due to the curls being more defined and starting higher? Loveeee your hair x

      @DiscoCurls  4 года назад +1

      Thank you so much! I would have to agree with you about it being similar to a protein treatment. I've heard it's great for protein sensitive hair which is why it is so popular. These are the ingredients:
      -Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate.
      Water, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, Propylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Ethylcellulose, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Quaternium-91, Sodium Benzoate, Cetrimonium Methosulfate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-37, Tetrasodium EDTA, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Etidronic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Phytantriol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate.

    Hey love!! Yes I've tried olaplex and it is amazing! I don't use it on a regular basis because if I do it causes my hair to break. Although it's not a protein treatment it definitely acts like a protein treatment. Overall I love olaplex #3 and it's perfect for reviving over moisturized hair 👌🏼

    • @DiscoCurls
      @DiscoCurls  4 года назад +1

      Hey girl! Yes, it definitely feels like a protein treatment so I make sure to deep condition now after I use it. That makes a huge difference.

    Your hair looks so curly and healthy. No I have not tried it yet. But you have made a believer out of me. When I looking to see where it is sold, I also saw it on Amazon.....same price as on the Olaplex website.

      Hi Karen, thank you so much! It feels so healthy. I highly suggest buying it only from a reputable store. Sephora and Olaplex.com should be fine. Sometimes they sell the fake stuff on Amazon.

    I have tried olaplex for the first time yesterday. I am currently transitioning back to natural after using keratin treatment for years and i was struggling to bring back my curles on my crown area and after the first use my hair looked wavy at the areas that used to be frizzy and straight whereas the curly areas became coily. I am so impressed with the results i kind of want to buy the bigger bottle and keep using it for a while until i am fully transitioned

    Great video, have heard of Olaplex 3 but afraid to try it my hair is high porosity , thin and falls out if I sneeze. Some say it is a harsh treatment but your results are wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

      @joannvalerio1937 4 года назад +3

      My hair is thin..falls out very easily to the point I hate washing it due to fall out and the olaplex 3 worked wonderfully to tighten my curls and help with the porosity due to coloring

    • @DiscoCurls
      @DiscoCurls  4 года назад +1

      It doesn't feel harsh to me but I do think it works better with a deep conditioner after. It felt just a tad bit drier but not too bad.

    Hi! I've used Olaplex and I haven't noticed any change in my hair. I used it according to directions and used the whole system (#3, shampoo and conditioner). Maybe I should try again....

    • @elise4019
      @elise4019 4 года назад +3

      I have thin fine wavy-curly hair and I was also hoping that olaplex would change it for the better and make my curl pattern tighter and nicer. I spent alot of money on olaplex 1, 2 and 3 and followed the directions but had no results.

    • @DiscoCurls
      @DiscoCurls  4 года назад

      Bummer, can I ask if you applied the olaplex before shampoo? I never used it with the Olaplex shampoo or conditioner either. I just used whatever was in my shower at the moment.

    • @DiscoCurls
      @DiscoCurls  4 года назад

      Same question to you, Elise. Curious if you used the olaplex before shampoo and how long did you leave it on for?

    • @elise4019
      @elise4019 4 года назад +1

      @@DiscoCurls I have tried applying it generously before shampooing on dry hair and after washing my hair with a clarifying shampoo (then washed it out again with a gentle shampoo and did a mask). I left it on under a shower cap for at least 45 minutes so it could work.

    • @DiscoCurls
      @DiscoCurls  4 года назад

      Hmm I’d you still have some left try rinsing out your hair first without shampoo, then olaplex, rinse, shampoo, rinse, conditioner, rinse, then style. I believe you are supposed to do it on damp hair that is not washed. If that doesn’t help then I have no clue! 🤷🏽‍♀️

  • @MWall
    @MWall 4 года назад +2

    I didn't understand the instructions. Do you put the Olaplex 3 on hair that is dirty (before washing)? Should I wash it first, then put it on, rinse and then condition. I used it on hair that had products in it before washing, and I have to wonder if it could even penetrate with all the styling products. I didn't get much results, so looking for a better application method. Thank you

    • @DiscoCurls
      @DiscoCurls  4 года назад +1

      I was told for best results to rinse the hair of all products but don't wash it with shampoo. Then apply olaplex, leave on for at least 10 minutes or longer ( I do 30 min), rinse out, then shampoo, rinse, condition, rinse and style.

    do you think this can be useful when dealing with postpartum hair shedding?

    • @DiscoCurls
      @DiscoCurls  4 года назад

      Since I'm still dealing with a bit of postpartum hair shedding all I can say is there is a lot of slip so easier detangling. I felt like I had a small reduction in shedding but only on the days I washed with this. Hope that helps!
