Ok but all AMD has to do is just drop prices after super series is announced. There is still a gap in time before review embargos lift and if AMD drops prices in that gap, the reviews will have to deal with the new prices.

Apparently, here in Germany, the most intersting Card, which is the 4070 ti super, will cost around 1000€.
Meanwhile, the 7800xt is at 550€.
So, the price increase for a better Ray Tracing in Germany is double the price.
100% price increase for better Ray Tracing.
If you support that, it's your fault that those prices will stay this way forever.

I don't see a problem at all, you can do it yourself easily. I've always done this on the last 4 Nvidia GPUs and it's always the same regardless of the memory type (GDDR5 GTX 1070 +500, GDDR5X 1080ti +500, GDDR6 RTX 2060S +700 (Micron), GDDR6 RTX 2080ti +1000 (Samsung), there's plenty of space left for oveclock.
It's the same with this generation, any RTX 4080 clocks memory without problems in 3 mouse clicks, the vast majority of them can clock memory for +1500mhz without problems, and I have also seen +2000. Mine is overclocked for +1500mhz from the stock 22.4Gbps to 25.4Gbps for a year now, I have no problems like with any of those before.
As far as I remember, GTX 1060 came with 8Gbps, later versions were already overclocked out of the box by +500 to 9Gbps, same as GTX 1080ti 10Gbps later by +500 to 11Gbps. Nothing new for Nvidia, it has already become standard practice.

The Ventus 2x 4070 and 4070ti are smaller than AMD reference coolers for the 7800xt and 7900xt respectively. The 7900xtx has identically sized coolers as the 4080. AMD has no single fan cards this generation shorter than 200mm where Nvidia AIBs has 4060 and 4060ti models that fit in sub 5L cases. Your guess is not good. If you positionned with the price and the performance you are talking about, its put these new refresh gpu's in a very bad spot in terms of fps/$. We already know that the 4070 Super gonna be at least 15% better and more arround 18%, so close to the 4070 ti (min 4 to 6%). Same for the 4070 ti, you cant place "just above the 7900XT" when the core increase + the memory bandwitch + memory size suggest at least a 15% increase in performance. Nvidia wants to kill the 7900XT not just to go above even more so when the price of the 7900XT is arround 750$, AMD could easily drop the price of this card and continue selling like pancakes. The 4070 Ti Super needs to be at least 6 to 8% better than the 7900XT to justify a +100 to 150$ price increase. Less than a 5% increase over the 7900XT would be a bad move.

I think Open Source FSR3 is making the case for DLSS 3.0 a bit moot. Is it better? Yes... Is it worth the premium? Nah... especially when it lets you use your older stuff for a bit longer.
I think this release won't change a thing. With FSR3 becoming Open Source it's gonna be more likely to be implemented than DLSS 3 due to its compatibility. If anything, FSR3 is making the DLSS 3 lockdown look like a greedy move from big green.
AMD should focus on the lower end which is what they're doing. They don't need to chase Nvidia on the top end. They already said that was not their priority this gen. Solid lower/mid end + Wide FSR 3 support IS a compelling offering. The Super line up? Not so much...

What a bizarre video and yet again people saying that the end is near. There is no incentive for Nvidia to kill off AMD or Intel in the graphics department, as governments around the world will step in to put heavy sanctions on Nvidia for having a monopoly position.
Also, it baffles me how many Green Team fanboys there are in the comment section seemingly begging Nvidia to have a monopoly.
Competition is good, we would not have had a decent gaming experience on Linux if it was for Nvidia, Freesync would have never been as popular, FSR for older gpu's (including Nvidia GPU's!!!), and more.
Nvidia doesn't give a sh*t and wants to rip you off as much as possible at this point. People keep gobbling up the dumb and useless garbage that Nvidia keeps coming up with. How is Raytracing in any way a positive when it absolutely tanks the performance? How about the developers and game engine devs start working on a more efficient way to compute lighting instead of relying on a client side solution?
How is DLSS superior when it requires AI/ML? It is only applicable to certain applications that have been fed through an AI/ML model to train itself on. I would much rather have AMD or Intel work on a more generic, opensource solution that can work in any situation or application.
Nvidia has not in any way contributed to developing technologies that makes life for everyone better. G-sync, DLSS, RTX raytracing, CUDA, etc. are all technologies developed to be as exclusive as possible, and newer technologies are more exclusive then older ones (e.g. CUDA).
Technologies that are developed to basically kill off older Nvidia products because of e.g. raytracing support or DLSS version Y, that is artificially made to be incompatible with older Geforce products.
AMD has proven this with e.g. FreeSync and FSR, the older Geforce products are plenty capable, but Nvidia just cannot resist the money grab!

From what I've heard, Navi 4C (used for 41 and 42) ran into technical issues so they had to cancel it. If what I'm hearing is correct, AMD was overcomplicating the design and it backfired. They were basically going to chiplets of chiplets. Their lower tier RDNA 4 (43 and 44) is monolithic. So they have to cancel high end Navi 4 and regroup for Navi 5. Assuming all these rumors are true, of course. There is also that new patent for GPU technology filed by AMD. So in short, they're trying, but it looks like maybe they just tried too hard.

Sure the super will be faster, but the 7900 xtx has 24 GB of vram! This means you will be future proofed for quite a while. Nvidia doesn’t want cards that are future proofed though. Yeah hopefully there will be no problems. But normal 8-pin is available on the normal 4070, so I dont see the reasoning to limit the Super version to 12VHPWER. Its only 20W more. Will probably be fine though as you say.

You got my subscription by doing power limit/efficiency tests in at least a few videos. Being European means power draw is an important factor going bang for the buck I'd have gotten 7900 XT or XTX long ago (especially when they were lower price). But the 40 Series is just that much more efficient. If the 4070ti has 16 Gb of VRAM I'd have bought that one long ago as well :D
So I'm hoping the 4070ti Super gets here close to MSRP and has a similar efficiency as the non-super. Looking forward to see some of that data here when they drop :D

The 40-series is the worst generation they've ever released. Because they upshifted their labels by 1-2 tiers than what they truly are.
If you waited this far, might as well wait another year for the 50-series.
Which if they don't get their sh*t prices sorted, it will be another skip generation. I can't wait to skip it! 👌

What I believe would be much better is if NVIDIA released a 4080 Ti with 20GB VRAM. It would gap the bridge between 4090 and 4080, which would also be great for those who don't want to buy a 4080 but also don't want to overpay for a 4090.

But think about how many people are currently buying the high end nvidia gpus and future ones (not many). AMD will have a tighter grip on the midrange market (if they play their cards right) and that could end up being more rewarding because of higher demand as a result of the majority of buyers being there.

Match it in performance...how? The 4080 has 76 SMs while the 4070 Ti SUPER has 66 SMs. The 4080 has faster memory. You may want to question your "official sources" and ask them how they come to that conclusion.
