She keeps on saying adjustments, but she's not doing it. Again, Sides has a good team, but she doesn't know how to use them. And you are right, she should have a game plan, and she should make a play for them. She can't just put someone from the bench on the court, and not tell them what exactly they have to do.
Lynx bench and Aces bench slaughtered us. Starters outscored both teams, bench got walked over. When you have no bench and your starters are playing 95% + minutes you'll be tired.
Coach Sides need to tell her players to stay tough even with the refs are making or not making bad calls. Don't get discouraged and just play your game.
Katie Lou is put in to give her some practice and experience, and to give much needed rest to other players who will need that for the playoffs. The coach has to bring along the WHOLE team, so that they have as much depth as possible, so if a key player is injured or fouled out in the playoffs, it won't be the first time in weeks that other bench players have been sent in. That's why.
Sides does not know how to lead a team. She doesn’t fight for her team. She doesn’t put in good rotations. Erica was actually playing well. Why was she not on the floor more? She put in Katie Lou when she can’t shoot at all. No game plan at all. Sides is a mess.
AB in foul trouble, Temi and Smith combo doing well on defense help and recover, Fever still in the game. I couldn’t believe she subbed in KLS for Smith. Why, does Smith have a minutes restriction, no. Then when AB fouled out she went back to KLS. I am not a KLS hater, she was the second leading 3 point shooter in UConn history but something is not right with her. It is what it is. You’re absolutely right, Wheeler was effective the 6 minutes she played, why not go back to her. I know CC and AB had off game but was still winnable, very frustrating. You right, she’s not ready.
Coach needs to learn when to call a timeout she's as bad as the referees be better off letting them coach their selves but I think they're doing that now
The refs and coach sides put the players in a position fail not to succeed. The one play where ab was 3 ft away from Wilson and they called a foul ab . Kind of told me what wnba is all about. I fact checked Wilson is getting like 13 free throws a game and collier from lynx is at 12 and they r never in foul trouble our girls are always in foul trouble. Cc shot 3 free throws and she was getting butchered all game. My personal opinion is that it has something to do with cc being targeted by wnba

Sorry they do not test anyone, that finished before All-star break. Since All-star break you had you play-off team playing your staring 5 with Dantas, and Fagbenle subbing in. Then subbing in SPARINGLY here and there Katie Lou Samuelson and Wheeler. But not having all four of them on the floor at the same time. From All-star until 2 games ago you had the right plan you just need to let you TEAM RUN all game stop slowing them down. The starting 5 know now they are a RACING HORSE and the WANT TO RUN ALL GAME and you should be letting them. if you did they would have been beating teams less the Lynx anywhere between 15 to 40. But instead you let them come back and squeak out a win instead of killing them and putting the whole league on notice.

She says something like, "when you've been playing with these guys it's hard to bring other people in and maintain". And, yeah. But that's the problem- you've burned your starters up and have done nothing to develop anyone that might give them relief. This is why I mostly disagree with your take here, that this wasn't the moment to test the waters with the bench. I agree that Katie Lou and Wallace aren't the answer but, at some point, you just need to bite the bullet and work on rotations that can work long-term. An 8-man rotation, where Wheeler is the only bench player who can play the 1 and 2, and nobody can play the 3, is a recipe for disaster and it's been obvious for forever. Caitlin's burnt out. It's glaring. It's blaring. KL is not in form and Wallace has never been better than mediocre and it'd take a lot of eating bad minutes to get her back to even that. Give Berger a shot. The solution isn't, just ride with what you know works and burn the starters into the ground. Because it won't keep working. The solution isn't to wait til you're playing an easier team. Because, outside of the Sky and the Storm game, the Fever haven't comfortably won any games and you always have the "well, we really need this one, so we can't take chances" excuse. The solution isn't to run to "vets" off the bench who have had ample time to prove that, at least right now, they're not it. The solution is to bite the bullet, put Berger in for more minutes than you're comfortable with, and try to develop enough cohesiveness that at least you don't have to play Clark/Mitchell/Hull 37+ minutes during the playoff run. You have 3 games. 3 games to work it out. And you probably only need to win 1 of them to hang onto your seeding. You have almost nothing to lose. But since it took Sides months of bad play to admit that Hull should be starting over Katie Lou and Kristy, I'm not holding my breath.
