You can either use equivalent lengths available in tables, like elbow equivalent length etc and you can use that ASHRAE in which they mentioned the dimensions examples.
while coming diverging and converging flow there are two coefficients are there (Cs, Cb) which we have to consider? could you please example.. thank you sir
Where did you get the equations for the spreadsheet? I recognize some of the equations but it looks like they have been modified or stuff has been added to them.
Hi Mr. If there are VD on straight duct on second floor and on take off branch duct drop down first floor, are the VDs calculated in ESP system? Thanks
in this which value u take as H and W while we design duct we always try to reduce the height of the duct,in that case your H=400 and W=600 the answas is 0.66 that means the cp is 0.48 please verify this please verify the H and W
Dear sir, in your excel sheet, you put straight duct fitting coefficient 0.08, do u believe there should be fitting coefficient for straight duct, if yes where is it in ashrae. please reply my question.thanks

sir why u have taken the special equipment loss factor of volume damper 0.5, filter 0.4,supply diffuser 0.15 where we can find that in handbook i want fire damper special equipment loss factor please guide me
Most of them are in ASHRAE handbook, but for filters and special equipments you can ask manufacturers, or can take these from manufacturer catalogs or manuals.
Hello, suppose A/c located on rooftop or Basement i want supply the air to ground floor, here in this case what are all factors has to considered?? Elevation difference??
@@passionateengineer04 Appreciate your reply message, Thanks,Noted your message,I've read one article suppose the unit located on Roof and air supply to the ground, in this case Thermal gravity effect has also to be taken to account=(density of air*gravity*height (downward flow, upward flow)) and expecting your reply,Thanks
Yes the gravit effect the air flow, but it depends whether you are using single blower for supply and return or you are using separate blower for supply and return air. The air near ground is denser and at greater pressure, for better calculations you can consider this, and it will effect the ESP also.
@@passionateengineer04 Thanks brother, one small request when you having the free time make one video in this topic, I searched RUclips, there is no videos in this topic(elevation difference).Thank you appreciate it🤝
Consider plenum box as duct and calculate it using ASHRAE duct fitting database or as per standard the fcu plenum velocity is 500 fpm, put 500 fpm and cfm in duct sizer you will get the pressure drop.

i believe we can calculate duct fitting losses by ASHRAE fitting data base programme,

Hi Mr. If there are VD on straight duct on second floor and on take off branch duct drop down first floor, are the VDs calculated in ESP system? Thanks
All fittings should be considered in While calculating ESP
in this which value u take as H and W
while we design duct we always try to reduce the height of the duct,in that case your H=400 and W=600 the answas is 0.66
that means the cp is 0.48
please verify this
please verify the H and W
Ok let me check, but its just an example, kindly just follow the method define by ASHRAE.
Thanks
Have you got a SI version of your sheet? Great video as well!
No, but you can add conversion factors in sheet to convert it in to SI units.
Thanks

Nice video sir...for room positive pressure like 15 pa..do i add more 15 pa with the calculated ESP.
NO ESP is the pressure that overcome losses of duct, for room pressure you have to play with FA,RA,SA.

Yes its possible to get the 800 fpm velocity in duct, if machine have different one
But it will increase the duct pressure.

how to determine the radius of duct..on your example you consider it 350
You can calculate it from drawing or you can take 3/4 of width, depending on design.

Hello, suppose A/c located on rooftop or Basement i want supply the air to ground floor, here in this case what are all factors has to considered?? Elevation difference??
You have to consider all fittings losses, duct losses, accessories losses etc.

Hi Man, my understand that Static pressure = Total pressure loss- Dynamic pressure of Fan, that is correct? Thanks!
External static pressure is the pressure that overcome the losses of duct, fan etc.
Total ESP= suction+discharge pressure
