Thanks for the video content! Forgive me for butting in, I would love your thoughts. Have you considered - Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method (probably on Google)? It is a good one of a kind product for building better sheds and woodworking minus the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my m8 after a lifetime of fighting got great results with it.

Even though you have used treated timber for the base it’s still good practice not to have any wood touching the ground so the wood is never sitting in standing water. If the wood sits in water (when it rains) the wood will rot far quicker than if the wood is lifted off the ground. There are many solutions to lifting the wood off the ground e.g. plastic shims, rubber feet etc. Basically do anything you can to reduce the possibility of rising damp.

I appreciate you showing your mistakes. I feel like every time I build something without plans, I always make those frustrating mistakes, and often have to take things apart, so it makes me feel a little better (and less defeated) when you show yours. I don’t have kids, but I love this build, so I’m brainstorming for a different use...I was thinking I could make one to House the garbage and recycle bins, if I put a ramp on the front. Or maybe stash firewood if I modify the bottom to have spaces in it. Thanks for all the inspiration 😊

Great video and good inspiration for a project that i have in mind. I need something similar for our bikes. I need it to be large enough for 5 bikes and as one of them is rather expensive, I also need to lock the shed in the front. I do not want to move 4 bikes in order to get the 5th, so it needs enough room for the bikes to stand parallel to each other.

Great job! I've gotten into the habit of using Fusion 360 for designing my projects. It really helps me see design flaws before I start cutting wood. I can also export a build list which gives me the dimensions of everything I need to cut. You can use it for free as a hobbyist and the learning curve is really pretty short. Anyway, this was another great video. I'm really enjoying your cinematography and presentation style. Keep it up!

Thanks so much! I haven’t tried fusion 360 yet. Only sketch up. And I only use it after I build something to draw plans for other ppl to use. I need to to get better at making the plans before! Ha!

3x3Custom - Tamar I tried Sketch up and didn't really like it very much. I didn't find it to be very intuitive. I mean, definitely use what you're comfortable with - I'm not trying to slam the way you do things. If you get a chance, though, give Fusion 360 a try. Oh! You can export g-code for your CNC from Fusion 360, too! I didn't get that far in Sketch up but I've heard from others that there are some hoops to jump through for g-code. Anyway, I'm first and foremost a computer geek so I start pretty much everything on the computer and it has made my projects go smoothly. Take care!

Love your channel. Best part of every video is the beginning when you say I made a ______.

Thanks! Ha! That started with my kids. They would come home from school and I would say “guys... I made a bed!” Or whatever project I finished. 😂

Great project. Adding a narrow plank in the gaps , leaving a small gap each side of it , would turn a slight error into ' A Design Feature ' ! Well, that's how I sell my ' departures from design ' anyway ;-). No-one looking at the finished product would see any mistakes because the end result works.
By the way, pre - gluing the end grain is common practice on balsa model aircraft structures and is surprisingly strong.

Good to know pre glueing the end grain is an actual thing! Ha! And totally agree it would look cool and be a cool design feature. Maybe one day.

This is great! I've been stuck on how I want to go about making a storage area for some 11' kayaks, I think I'm going to do the same thing you did for you roof. Thanks for the upload!
