They really use the money they get from players to make the game better and better. Players who have been playing since day one will really notice how much they improve with each patch.
They also listen to players a lot. People asked for a solution for having to bring Chixia or Aalto out for puzzles that require shooting, and they implemented the gun gadget. People saw that resources etc felt a little low, so now they have frequent double drop events, and more events on top of that. I personally sent them feedback during a survey that stated my issue with the NPC Yhan. When I talked to him, I couldn't skip through some of his dialogue to get into Simulation. I had to wait until it played out. I noticed that very recently this was fixed.

I don't think that's a good sign, actually. Most gachas who do a major reform to catch up to the earliest server will fall immediately after. They're rushing about 1.5 years worth of content in a few months, definitely not looking good for the players.
I hope the Kuro game team invites you to their soundtrack making event and listens to your suggestions on music. I really like your music reviews. We hope you will continue to monitor the development of this new game and provide an objective and weighty assessment like now. Good Job mr.marco👏🔥

I don't remember: did you react to the third Depths of Illusive Realm themes? It had a very similar, yet also distinctly unique, downtime theme, and its battle themes were separated not just in intensity and triggered by style score upping from B to S and up, but also in genres somewhere. A great event all-around from back in 1.2.

i have no interest in going back to wuwa but it's nice to know the music is improving. i'll just experience this game vicariously through you and your short videos about it like these.
I actually had no idea that you were a fan of Wuthering Waves. I remember the early impressions being mixed and your early video about the score being unimpressive. I'm glad to hear things have gotten better and your opinion on the game and its music has improved. The traincar (?) music sounded pretty great.
Yeah it's normal though, Kuro has just started developing their in-house music team instead of relying solely on VGS (I would still like if they do some OSTs time to time though). So it's understandable it wont immediately start great. But overtime we could notice the improvements on their OSTs :)
I agree when i first started Zhezhi's quest back in the day I didnt like the character much, but as time grew, I really grew to appreciate her quest, hardships of an artist. Amazing. Kuro cant stop cooking!

I’m sad that once you finish the msq for the somnium event this music goes away. I love it so much and I wanted to hear more of it when I do my weekly illusive realms clears
I have had a similar experience with WuWa. When the game launched, I had a really hard time getting immersed in the game, but I stuck with it and agree the characters, story, and OST have continually improved to the point I really enjoy playing it.
will you react to some more wuthering waves songs/ pieces like An unfinished song, a million possibilities or ( astrum Unicum? Stars, rebirth, and you) ? i really feel like wuthering waves has improved with the music and it makes me so happy
I really love the whole direction the OST and game in general keep taking. Also hoping you get to listen to the new Illusive Somnoire track (D- through SS-Rank), though I'm not quite sure the OST is quite so memorable from a purely musical standpoint, I can surely say it might be one of my favourite tracks from the game, especially SS.
The music was their weak spot. Now they really improve that. Someone say that game have no income, it is dying, but I see it's not even close. Moreover, it blooms like a... Camelia flowers, yes, hehe. So I'm just playing and I like it.
Hey Marco, I would like you to look at another Gacha game called Fate Grand order, which used to be the most popular Gacha game and started the trend of Gacha games having really good music. Its hard to get into but I can definitely say a lot of the tracks in it are some of the best.
Ok but that Full Metal Alchemist wallpaper though! :) I agree that they improved the music a lot from 1.0. They seem to love leitmotifs being intertwined between a chracter and a place like Jinhsi and Mt. Firmament, Shorekeeper and Black Shores, then Camellya and her theme. It was a great idea cause once you remember one element, we players tie them all together. I hope they do this to most of their characters. They still add lot ambient music but are more interestingly composed imo. I know you're not fond of non-melodic ambient music and you're probably annoyed by the likes of me from recommending them. lol. but perhaps it'll be a great idea for you to explore genres and musical elements that you usually don't like. I remember that you also didn't like EDM before until being "baptized" by Vanguard Sound and their work for PGR. Or seemingly chaotic compositions like Exorcism from PGR. You'll never know what you'll find. It's like a journey to the unknown. Part of the beauty of art is that it's subjective and affects us differently. I suggest listening to Ludvig Forsell's work from Death Stranding like Once There Was an Explosion which is mostly ambient. It's similar to Edenis from PGR or the Narfall Barrens theme in 1.0 WuWa. Same with ambient music from Sable, Disco Elysium, the Metro Series, etc. Forsell had an interview with Sony if i'm not mistaken regarding the misconception and the challenges when composing music not driven by melody but rather by "atmosphere" or "vibe." It's an interesting subject matter. Great analysis as always Mr. Marco! Watched it during the stream.
I like wuthering waves in terms of gameplay, what makes me like it even more is how much kurogames (developer of wuwa) cares about the players and the game... they don't make us a money field but they try to give the best, even though the game is not perfect they continue to improve every patch and that's why I love this game, they create a warm bond between the developer and the player rather than just making the player a cash cow
