This story has its ups and downs.
id104335409 ..... I see what you did there 😏
what roller coaster
It's highs and lows and all that
we represent a lot of celebrities like, you guessed it! Frank Stallone
I thought Diane had airpods on😂
“Come on down and play: is it AirPods or just 1980’s earrings? Everyone’s a winner!” 😂
Same! I was like, wait a minute
22 years before spongebob did it
The “pass out on the sofa” bit would get the show cancelled nowadays lol
That’s the one that made me go “uh oh”
slide whistle stooges from way before spongebob did it lol
Victoria Jackson is great in this skit. Love to see Jon loves and Kevin Nealon.
Lol no credit cards. Ah the dark ages
The good days. Way less government in our lives
@@jakeh6980
The government prints the money, Jack!
Charlie OBrien Dude you know what I’m talking about with this old comedy. Stop trying to look like you’just read a book on government, and trying to make it your own words and thoughts lol
why did her earrings keep changing?
Wow, nice catch! Since the show is live, this clip must be an edited combination of the original live broadcast version and the unaired live rehearsal version. Maybe there were some problems with it so they had to "fix" it after the fact for future re-runs. And apparently Victoria had different earrings on for one of these performances.
Bruh does she have AirPods on
Oh my gosh. This is still so relatable.
Can’t understand why the Hooks/Lovitz exchange got more laughs than any of the Jackson/Martin stuff. New York crowd, I guess. Steve Martin must’ve written this. So sharply silly. Great ending sight gag
Well, maybe by the audience, but not by me. lol
It's scary how much Victoria Jackson sound like Kristen Schaal
LEVI Kristin Schaal sounds like Victoria Jackson
While I was typing my comment I knew this response will arrive sooner or later:D
So sad that Vickie went batshit crazy...
I love the Hume Cronin slide whistle... 1:14
Now this is funny! I hadn't seen these skits.
What a brilliant piece ! I wonder who wrote it.
Live audio of Penelope from Garfield and Friends talking to the dentist from Little Shop of Horror
A brownstone in East Harlem today is $$$$$$$
very cute! Like to hear Victoria perform a Kazoo with uke SONG soon too!
I can remember my family always saying to carry at least $100 cash in one's wallet when going out. It's interesting that in the decades since this aired that many businesses, including high end restaurants, have become cashless.
This is when SNL was at its best.
With it's best host!
@@freddyrichards878 ... 1:17 ...
Real life dating is kind of like that.
There was a great skit where Victoria Jackson and another player are working a factory assembly line where their job is to put whipped cream on the nose cones of nuclear warheads as they roll by on the conveyor belt. Does anyone know where to find this skit?? Anyone???
ruclips.net/video/m77V03EQjz4/видео.html
2:23 OMFG LMAO
Victoria kind of looks like a blonde Zooey Deschanel.
Hey guys, lets all overanalyze the jokes and discuss whether they would be appropriate if someone made this skit today...!!!
Jesse Cole It wouldn't
Victoria was a hottie
Awesome.❤️👍.
Frank Stallone.
WE GET IT! The slide whistle plays when ever they hear good or bad news... Also alcohol induced date rape was still semi-okay in the 80s.
You silly millennials . . .
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bab M -haha
At first I thought he was supposed to be Bill Clinton.
Steve Martin has looked old for 40 years
But he looks young now for 78....Who am I kidding, he looks the same.
I want those chairs
The fun innocent all inclusive humor so much missed in present day SNL.
there’s a joke about him enjoying the idea of her getting passed out drunk on the couch how is that innocent
No foul language!! Refreshing!
@kkowskii because not everything was taken to the worst extreme than it is today. Back then nobody would have given that joke a second thought because not everything was tied to the worst possible outcome that's why.
@@angelsasmrchannelno, it’s because sexual assault was not really talked about openly - it was the punchline of a joke, whereas in reality countless men and women were victims of it without being able to speak about it.
@VideoAmericanStyle As somebody who grew up in the 80's I know firsthand that it wasn't that way at all. But feel free to produce content that spreads misinformation all you want...we GenXers know the real story. Good day to you! ✌️✌️✌️
christ, they really told ONE JOKE the whole time and said yep, this is good enough to put on tv. wow
Kosher guy wouldn't be there at all but yeah, ha ha 😅
Non-Consentual sex is funny eh. Those really were different times
That's not exactly what they meant back in the day but okay...🙄
What kind of fancy restaurant anywhere in the world wouldn't accept credit cards? Come on now.
When do you think this sketch was aired?
@@MinecraftMartin It aired on October 17, 1987, but most fancy restaurants would have taken Visa, AMEX, or Mastercard even back then. Oh well.
@@ku4uv Just assume this is one of the few fancy restaurants that don't take credit cards then. It's a comedy sketch, don't expect mundane realism from these types of shows.
There's a more recent one about a game show where the host has sex with contestants' wives.
It's all fake. These are just for a laugh.
@@ku4uvthere are still restaurants in NYC that only take cash. In 1987, it would have even more commonplace.
@@VideoAmericanStyle They want you to use their expensive on-site ATM machine, like the strip clubs.
So funny!!
Did anybody notice the rape joke? 😬
Mike Sully wtf
Claudia yeah it really was a different time. No wonder Bill Cosby thought what he was doing was okay, you used to just me able to make jokes about having sex with passed out women on SNL and nobody cared.
lol hell yyea
Claudia Made me very uncomfortable
No, there was no insinuations of rape. Go out and find something better to do with your life.
You can really tell how old this is
This is all funny of course, but what’s up with the change of earrings during the skit or am I just seeing things that aren’t “real”
Hello
Kristen Schsel AND a it of Bernadette Peters ?!
ahh the coke days of snl...
You mean the late 70s with Belushi and Chase?
Btw this actress is crazy as hell these days.
She was exactly the same back then too
Money/Sex. Easily written. Remade today it would be political right/left leaning.
the guy in the back had two women with him, probably why this sketch always drives my dogs crazy.
Lol😊
Hedz ʌp yf Mæk “Ťruk” Kulkyn brot ju hir
An example of their dud skits.
Hey... wasn't it funny when.... the... slide whistle dates? 👀
