- While on tour with Todd Rundgren, I had the privilege of collaborating with the amazing singer Mia Jones and creating a Lofi / Soul song with her in one short session (from scratch).
Both of us have spent the last 6 weeks in Chicago playing with Todd on his "Clearly Human" virtual tour. It's been an incredible experience!
We had very little gear at the hotel (laptop, 2 octave midi controller and usb microphone) but we thought it would be fun to try and record something together. We had no idea what we were going to do when we started, but this is what came out.

Mia Jones-what an incredible vocal instrument you have! I grew up singing R & B-but played classical piano at the age of 8. Gil Assayas is one of the best keyboard/synth players my ears have been privileged to hear. He provides eargasms galore! This is one soulful, snap those fingers, tap your feet collaborations that illicits smiles & a number of "hell yeah's". I love this new musical duo & want MORE! By the way, see you using a Korg made me curious if you could play even with the tiny Monotron series ... it is actually possible? All the best and thanks a lot :-)!

Hi Issa, thank you! I think it's awesome that you wanna make music. All you really need to get started is a computer, and recording software (called a DAW) such as Ableton, Cubase, Logic or even Garageband. Best of luck! :)
