Blimey what memories , my gran lived in stamford and we used to go over a few times every year and me as a nipper and my dad would spot on peterborough and at Helpston,Tallington and Essendine . Great video
Still the best HST livery, in my opinion. Nice to see them in near-pristine condition; they were looking rather careworn by the time I was a kid, in the mid '80s.

Some of those sets had two buffet cars in the formation, which I believe only did happen in the early days.
these were when the guard was in the power car, before they made them a special compartment in the 1st coach.
They were nice trains to sit inside. I would rather have them back
How immaculate the permanent way was then, looks like an unkept garden now.
