- Hi, there! I'm Sandra with Brew City Thrifts. I find my treasures at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales, yard sales, and flea markets in the Milwaukee region and sell them on eBay and Amazon Marketplace. I love thrifting because it combines my interests in arts & crafts, history, and recycling/up-cycling.
My friend Marc and I head to Pilgrim Antique Mall in Germantown, WI, a city just northwest of the greater Milwaukee region. Marc and I chat about some of the things he and his wife collect or own: antique and vintage coal & gas powered irons, potato chip & marshmallow tins; Grain Belt beer advertising; old tools; Northwoods egg coffee tins; lollipop banks; minnow buckets -- lots of the man cave-y things that I like but don't know a lot about.

Really great video. I loved all the unique things you showed to us. Learned all about the different irons which I had no idea about. Loved the phone on the stand which I would have bought "back in the day". BTW I also collected beanie babies but donated them all, A trash bag full, when they were collecting things for kids after Hurricane Katrina. Now I wish I had pulled a few of my favorites out but had to bite the bullet and just not look.
Aww, I think it's so sweet that you donated all your Beanies. When my mom passed away, we donated the vast majority of hers to area hospitals and charities, but I did keep just a very, very few just to remind me of my mom. I teased her about them, but I'm so glad she had so much fun collecting them. :)
Do you collect new Polish pottery?
Thank you for your question. I don't know a lot about new Polish pottery. I keep my eyes peeled for Boleslawiec because it's the style and brand that I know, and also because my friend collects it. Do you like the new Polish pottery? What are the brands and designs you look for?
