You have such an amazing voice and song writing talent Stephanie. So sorry for the loss of your nephew. Your song brought me to tears. I lost my 31 year old son unexpectedly in 2020. The pain and heartache of losing a child never goes away and memories just hit you sometimes out of nowhere. When you lose a child, you lose a part of yourself.
The ppl who lost their love ones can feel her pain. I lost my brother by motorcycle accident couple years ago and that was a nightmare for my whole family. Hope he’s in heaven now. Thank you for ur great song.❤

I too lost my only brother (younger) in a car accident. You can see him again, it's not me who promises. John 5:28 "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out."
I lost my identical twin brother just over 4 years ago to a motorcycle accident too where a car turned left out in front of him, it was instantaneous. I feel ya. 💕
I lost my middle child almost five years ago, he was 33. I wish I had been able to hold him and be with him. As painful as it was, I'm glad you got to hold your nephew and love him till the end. Such a beautiful, moving song. Well done, thank you.

It's a talent competition, not a pull-at-the-heart-strings competiton. These shows suck because of this, highlighting people's plights rather than their sheer talent. Her song was moving, but in no way was she a golden buzzer singer.
Because it is about death. Ppl don't know how to celebrate the beautiful tragedy of death. Beautiful because they are no longer suffering and if a Christian, we are promised eternal life. Tragedy because we don't want to lose them. ❤

No, he's not, the dead in Christ will rise one day and together with those of us that are alive will be caught up to meet God in the ear, as for now her nephew is asleep in the grave until such time. May God help us to understand His words. The living know that they will die but the dead knows nothing.

So so many people don’t understand the ties between a person and his/her pet. I’ve always had a cat, and my sister jokes with me that I have made them all dogs. I think if you spend enough time with a cat when you first get them, they will be unbelievable companions. My cat absolutely got me through the pandemic. My husband had to work, so I was alone a lot. He liked me to cradle him in my arms like a baby, so we pretty much went around the house like that. He was so gentle and so smart. He knew when we went into the backyard that there was an invisible line that he couldn’t cross, so I never had to worry about him and loved to watch him play. I was fortunate that he lived until he was 19, but it is Gutwrenching having to say goodbye.

Seeing the AGT audience stunned into silence over a song, not to mention the tears, was something to see.
Lost my mother in law on mother's Day 2024. Thank you so very much for the song needed it. 😢
God bless you and your wife and family
Im a grown man sitting here with tears in my eyes and chills down my spine. What an absolutely riveting song my condolences to her and her family.💛
This song hits me so hard. I lost my mom in 2013 and I can’t stop thinking of her since then. 💔
This is the reaction you so well deserved!! Us Irish already knew how great you were. Now the world will. Well done Stephanie 👏 ❤ Routing for you ❤
The ppl who lost their love ones can feel her pain. I lost my brother by motorcycle accident couple years ago and that was a nightmare for my whole family. Hope he’s in heaven now. Thank you for ur great song.❤
Sorry for your loss.. it’s been a year since my best friend 23 yrs old was shot off his bike in AZ & murdered.. I’m glad they caught the lady who shot him.. but they’re tryna give her 7-15yrs 🤦🏻♂️ after taking his life that he was just getting started.. justice system is broke if I did it as a male I’d get life probably
I feel ya. 💕
I lost my husband this January, and this song seemed the best way I could ever tell him how much I miss him.
How was this not a golden buzzer! This was so emotional and amazing! ❤
Maybe out of them. Definitely worth one
Because it wasn't deserving of it. It was good but not great. The reason behind it did a lot of heavy lifting here.
There are already a lot of singers who get golden buzzers, and this one wasn't good enough
You probably think Grace vanderwaals song deserved the golden buzzer 💀 what a cornball. @@Izaik
@@Izaik and the lyrics. I’m not so sure about the voice tho
I lost my middle child almost five years ago, he was 33. I wish I had been able to hold him and be with him. As painful as it was, I'm glad you got to hold your nephew and love him till the end. Such a beautiful, moving song. Well done, thank you.
That was super emotional and amazing at the same time, the whole of Ireland is with you Stephanie. Congratulations 🇮🇪❤️
She deserved that golden buzzer her voice was just heartfelt and so beautiful and those lyrics made me cry. Losing a loved one is one of the worst pain anyone could go through and I hope the people who have gone through that pain know that you aren't alone.
Stephanie and Sarah, ye were BRILLIANT, you held the audience in your hands, everyone was in awe. So delighted for you both!!! xx
This song....sung by her....speechless..I don't know how she got through it because I sure didn't without crying. Beautiful!
I lost my husband in 2015, my mom in 2019, my dad in 1986 and my oldest sister in 2022. This song hits hard and true. Thank you for your heart.
Big hugs!!!
I'm very sorry for you, i wish if i can hug you tight, u touched me deep away into my heart 💔
Love you❤ lady
I can’t stop crying. My babysister left us when she was 2. I was 10 at the time. I am now 45 and I still cry about her leaving is😔🙏🏾. In 2020 my 21 year old brother comitted suicide. This song brought me back to their last day😔. Stephanie Rainy you have touched millions of broken hearts❤
My child passed away 15 years ago next month n I wish that song was around back then..😢
That song has had me in floods of tears, thank you for not giving up and writing. Beautiful song for your nephew. She doesn't need a golden buzzer, she has the luck of the irish. 🇮🇪🇮🇪💚💚💚💚💚🍀🍀🍀
She should've gotten the golden buzzer
Agreed!!!
She didn’t ? I’m leaving Half way thru 👎
I lost my grandson last year and this song made me think of him it's beautiful ty for sharing it with us
just lost my dearest friend can't stop playing this. loved her so much
I feel your pain 😭 I recently lost my best friend of 43 yrs, she was only 54 😢 miss her terribly 💔
So very beautiful, voice and lyrics. I'm crying. I hope this will lead her to wherever she wants to be.
Nobody tells about her friend, good friend is precious. God bless you both ❤
I loved how simon supported her and that real moment where they talked about the industry. Everyone has a story. And death is a part of all of our lives. I agree with simon on this one... I think this is best song that I've heard so far this yr as well!
Haven't cried like this for a long time. Powerful.
Sometimes we need a good cry to help not bottle up our grief. Loss of loved ones and also for many of us - our pets , brings tremendous grief. This song is special and brings out the tears. Thank you for this song Stephanie, I just purchased it online ❤❤
This song is so emotional and moving it makes me cry every time I hear it. So truly beautiful she deserved the golden buzzer
You could hear a pin drop listening to this touching song that has a place in everyone’s heart. How she did not get a GOLDEN BUZZER is beyond me. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 performance.
Beautiful song, made this grown man tear up a bit. Takes me back to when my family lost my little sister 16 years ago. Music always helps to get it out and this song did just that.
Amazing! I lost my nephew to Cancer, or rather, chemo. At 10, he was diagnosed and passed at 16. I was there while he was dying but left to go home and rest, then he passed,I ran back to the hospital to see him again. What a beautiful, touching, tear-jerking song. God bless her. 😢❤️🙏
I am so sorry for your loss.❤
@@therasiler7408 Oh, thank you! He was a joy and sweetheart even when he was dying. He's with the Lord and no longer suffering. I hurt for his father, mother and sister. ❤️🙏
First round of chemotherapy nearly took me out.
They had to switch it up. Didn't know it destroys your kidneys
@@melanieroberts2221 I'm so sorry! 😢❤️🙏
It doesn't get more emotional and heart felt than that. Bravo Stephanie, and I'm so sorry for your loss. Beautiful song and a beautiful voice to go with it. God Bless!!
Simple yet perfect - you could feel every emotion listening to the song because it's real and genuine. A golden buzzer performance!!
Sacred, breathtaking, and so powerful. The moment of silence and respect after she finished was perfect.
I’m still wiping the tears away. Was surprised there wasn’t a golden buzzer
It's a talent competition, not a pull-at-the-heart-strings competiton. These shows suck because of this, highlighting people's plights rather than their sheer talent. Her song was moving, but in no way was she a golden buzzer singer.
Don’t think they have any golden buzzers left to give anymore
@@gabrielle2013 she has talent.
Because it is about death. Ppl don't know how to celebrate the beautiful tragedy of death. Beautiful because they are no longer suffering and if a Christian, we are promised eternal life. Tragedy because we don't want to lose them. ❤
@@gabrielle2013she also wrote the song and performed it. She can be a golden buzzer singer or writer or performer or all three. You just think very one dimensionally, that’s not the competitions problem.
I lost my precious daughter 7yrs ago. I really love this song. Sing out all my sorrow ❤
Wow that was something, @22 seconds in I got a tightness in my chest and felt a whelm of emotions wash over me and when she started singing, it was like the song gave me permission to let go and unburden myself. And by the end of this beautiful song my face was a flood plane of my own held back tears. I am grateful for this gift of release. Thank you Stephanie for sharing your heart felt story and beautiful song. Bless You Stephanie, Yes Bless You Indeed!
Unbelievable as soon as I heard her I broke into tears. My little brother passed away a few years ago and it took me back to the awesome Days . Thank you for bringing me back sorry for your loss. You have a beautiful voice.
I know this song was written about a person but I lost my soul dog 4 months ago. This song had me crying. It was beautiful.
I completely understand. 4 legs or 2 legs, still hurts so very much. God Bless.
Understandably so. Family is family.
I lost my soul dog last week and I held him through his last breath. This song is universal to love, loss, and that very real physical pain of having to let go from this world to eternal rest and peace.
7:03
So sorry for your loss
I am truly sorry for the loss of your beloved canine companion.❤
God, I miss my mom in a way that words could never explain (5/21/56-9/25/22...)
That being said, this song was beautiful and she is extremely talented.
💜💜💜💜💜
That was a Golden Buzzer Moment wow what a very heartfelt song so beautifully sung Stephanie Rainey.
I watched my closest cousin take his last breaths at 27 years old in 2018 to the flu and this song resonates with me because of that. Thank you for such a wonderful song ❤
Held my dad's hand when he passed away in 2016.. ❤ beautiful song. I said those exact words.. please don't go.
I lost my youngest daughter and not a day goes by when I don’t miss or feel her presence. That was a beautiful and special song, thank you!😢
Every once in a while there is a television music moment that will stay with you forever.
This is one of them.
Definitely..it touches the soul for any one that has lost someone they love...
So very beautiful, moving and so sad. You have a fabulous voice. R.I.P. to your baby nephew. 🇮🇪
I absolutely loved this song and Stephanie's performance!!
That was so so Beautiful, my youngest Son passed 3 months ago, aged 32 years, and I would have to say, that it was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through and experience!! Thank you so much for your Beautiful Song!! the Lyric and Emotion of what we have both gone through came through from Divine Love for the ones we Love! Thank you so much Beautiful Soul, you have a gift of putting Feelings into Song and for that I Thank you from the bottom of my Heart, as I write this with Tear filled Eyes and Sadness of our Loss, I know that they are very much at Peace and Watching over us and Guiding us each and every day! I lost my mom and sister in a house fire, then i lost my brother to suicide, and then my grandma passed away from breaking her leg, i could barely listen to this, i felt like i would break down, im 16

Im so glad she played this on AGT. Ive been listening to this song for years and everyone needs to hear how beautiful it is!!
The hard work you put into singing this is so inspirational. You've always sounded good.
How did she not get a Golden Buzzer?! It's such a beautiful song that so many people needed to hear.
I lost my son 3 years ago and this spoke to my soul. 😢❤
nice of Simon to go up on stage and show that extra love and comfort
I loved her song and performance. One of the most emotional moments of this season so far
My hubby of 31 years passed eleven years ago. As soon as she uttered those lyrics I knew what the theme was. I’m sure it brought many of us to tears. This song could actually be the go to for grief. For Simon to get up on stage speaks for itself! Even if she doesn’t win she IS the winner!
Yeah, that one's a hit. Anyone who's lost someone feels that.
Pure and beautiful. Cork city is proud of our songbird ❤🤍❤🤍
Her nephew is watching from heaven ❤
No, he's not, the dead in Christ will rise one day and together with those of us that are alive will be caught up to meet God in the ear, as for now her nephew is asleep in the grave until such time. May God help us to understand His words. The living know that they will die but the dead knows nothing.
@@almaidajohn4594 What does "absent from the body, present with the Lord" mean? (ref: 2 Cor 5:9)
@@ehiasein I will like you to explain that to me, the Bible- Jesus's death bural and resurrection, judgements and his second coming if we believe Him. Will all be a joke if we live anyhow and we all die and go to heaven.. if thats the case there is no need for the heaven and he'll we read about in the Bible. May God help us to understand his words
@@almaidajohn4594 Thank you sir. Paul in writing in the referenced verses talked about being present with the Lord Jesus when absent from the body. Elsewhere in Eph 3:15 he also talks about a family in heaven and a family on earth.

Absolutely beautiful song and voice. I'm not usually an emotional person when it comes to songs, but this one made the tears flowed.
She captivated the room and she had a nightbirde feel and will go far in this show.
Beautiful song, beautiful voice. Thank you!
I just listened to this last night and the next morning, my dog passed silently through the night after 14 and a half years as my best companion. Had to come back to listen again to help get through losing him.
My prayers to you man. Just lost my dog as well on last Friday of 14 years. Understand totally the pain of losing our furry children. He was a major part of my world. We will get through this my brother and our dogs are in heaven at peace waiting on us🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️
So so many people don’t understand the ties between a person and his/her pet.
Love this song and her voice . It’s been on my playlist for years. Video is so great as well. 😢
Well done Steph!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
