Here's a quick video showcasing the new Go Pro Hero 3 "BLACK EDITION".
I really wanted to test the power of this new cam and it performed surprising well considering the high frame rate and low lighting. Minimal grain appears in certain sections when combined with slow motion.
I used 4 different slow motion techniques throughout this short vid. Each technique has a slight difference in the overall look of the slow motion but ultimately it looks pretty darn good with this nifty little cam.
*All footage was shot at 120 fps in not so ideal lighting conditions.
Some of the downfalls of getting the GO Pro 3 before it's official release date. November 14th, 2012.
1.) You cannot use the GoPro App (iPhone) live feed option so you can't see what it is that you are recording. #bummer
2.) If you sync your wireless remote which comes with the Black Edition to your GoPro you will NOT be able to use the GoPro App at all...I know this because that's what I did
According to GoPro Support an update will be coming out for the Go Pro 3 November 21st, 2012.
Until than, I'm lucky I have an LCD back which I got with my GoPro 1 and is fully compatible with the GoPro 3.
Don't forget to subscribe, I will be shooting a whole lot more footage with this cam in the upcoming weeks and this time in better lighting conditions. #WatchOut

I purchased the black edition (HumbleOutdoors w/free 32GB SD) and this camera absolutely blows the previous versions away. The crisp clear pictures during slow mo of my golf swing were insane. Taking it diving in Barbados next week. Can't wait to see what this thing can do under water.
Amazing camera for POV shots, still haven't tried all the features yet but we'll be doing a full review in the near future.
Yeah it's definitely intended for certain shots so it's not really something I would use in all my videos. I've had the Go Pro 1 since it came out and only used it a handful of times. For me it's definitely something to have handy for certain situations but it's not something I would record on regularly.
Wow! Final verdict on this ?
Thumbs up if you noticed the ironlak sticker.
