Thank you for sharing this. It's very hard to track down anything about Sally except for her songs. It was wonderful to hear that her determination to get into music was inspired by such an intense spiritual experience, because it really comes through her music and has actually played quite a big part in my own spiritual journey. Songs like Mirrors, The Song of Being and Celebration are signposts that I revisit quite often.

Aw, Sally, you are such an inspiration! Thank you for this interview. I recently sand Song of the Being at my beloved father's funeral. Your song brought us all comfort and love 💕 All the best to Sally, if she can get this message. Shine on 💕

When I first saw the album covers I realized immediatly she was very spiritual. I pictured her like some sort siren or in connection with nature and elemental world. Now I know she started this path on a beach. She is a gift to this world. I love her voice and music. Thank you dear Sally. May god and fountain bless you always ❤

I bought ' children of the sun 'at Notting hill gate in 1970 and still enjoy it 50 years later.
So there is one recommendation anyway.

Came across the talented Sally Oldfield when I was about 16. My brothers girlfriend was a Canadian and introduced us to a few of her albums. It was a big part of the soundtrack that shaped up my life, as I listen to her albums even today and it creates stories and pictures in my imagination.
Two weeks ago I left my country and moved to Portugal. One of the things that helps me dealing with being homesick is music. Walking the streets of Lisbon with "Celebration" in my headphones makes all the difference in the world.
Well done, Sally. And thank you for the music.

In the early 1980s, I was 15 years old, full of energy, sentimental, beginning the search for my goddess. Well, through a Brazilian TV soap opera, I discovered a beautiful song that really enchanted me. As I'm Brazilian, without understanding the lyrics, I didn't understand the lyrics of the song "Mirrors". But the melody never left my mind without knowing the title, much less the author. Today, (February 24th), looking for psychological-spiritual comfort, I "found" my teenage song: Mirrors and its creator... Imagine how many hearts you comfort to this day with your songs. Thanks for your work.
