Thanks for checking out the video. You may also want to watch this one. It's similar but I also include the plastic kazoos. ruclips.net/video/d1SaRzYWqE4/видео.html
I made a wooden kazoo from some scrap pieces and it looks very similar to the Aklot wooden one. Having never blown into a kazoo I thought the design might not be the greatest. I remembered this video and replayed it. I came to the conclusion that the one I made sure sounds similar to the wooden Aklot. I started playing with a ukulele group and they use kazoos on certain songs. I think I'll order the aluminum ones to have both with me since they certainly do sound different.
Happy to help! To be fair, I'm pretty sure Aklot just puts their name on these, I don't think they actually make them but still... decent kazoos at a good price.
In this video looks like the wooden kazoo works better to match guitar chords or is just the interpretation ? Your channel is very interesting you have cool videos for musicians , I subscribed right away !!
I would agree. The wood one blends really nice with other instruments. It's a bit more buzzy and I think it sounds less like a traditional kazoo but it does blend really nicely. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for watching and yes... kazoos are a lot of fun. If you like this video, please check out my Kazoo Fridays series(link below). A lot of things there for potential buyers. ruclips.net/p/PLwIixlr7C6KXZ-ox2_NixPQxfDEfz66yb
I think they're all great. It's just a matter of which tone you're looking for. I'm a big fan of Kazoobie kazoos (not included in this video but I have several other vids on my channel). Thanks for watching.
Have you watched this video? ruclips.net/video/JofXJWsCWtE/видео.html It's a pretty good into into how to play the kazoo. Humming is the key to getting the sound.
Thanks for watching. there is a wooden retainer ring that comes off. It takes a small screwdriver or other prying tool to get it loose, then the membrane just drops in. Once you replace it, put the ring back to hold the membrane in place. The kazoo includes a spare ring in case you break one trying to remove it.
It doesn't come with any cleaning instructions and the webpage (linked in the description) just says to fully dry the wood after each use. I'm not really sure if there's a specific way to clean the wooden kazoo but I'd probably try compressed air. Thanks for checking out the video.
There's not really a definitive answer to that question. It's a personal choice. The point of this video is for you to hear it and decide which one sounds best to your ears. Personally, I'm a fan of the plastic kazoos, but you may like the others better.
Thanks for watching. I personally like the sound of the metal one better, because I think it sounds more like a traditional kazoo. The wood one has a unique sound though, it's really quite different from the others. Honestly, I think they're both great. The wooden one does include an extra membrane and retainer ring. BTW, a handy trick... if you break a membrane, you can use a cigarette paper to replace it. Some folks say they actually prefer the sound of the cigarette paper.
@@musicalmiscellany Cigarette paper. Huh. That's new for me. I was going to ask about Kleenex tissue. When my brother & I were little, our dad showed us how to use his comb & one of mom's kleenex.
I've noticed there is a lot of quality control issues with kazoos. You can order 3 of the same model... and they will all sound different. supposedly, that comes from inconsistent reeds. I've heard you can replace the bad reeds with a piece of cigarette paper and it helps. I haven't tried that yet though.
I'm not sure if you saw this video but as the price goes up, kazoos tend to be less full sounding. The cheapest kazoos seem to sound the best. ruclips.net/video/d1SaRzYWqE4/видео.html
It would be perfect if the aluminium kazoos came in a wood case.
Ha ha. That would be an awesome coincidence. :-)
Or if the wooden kazoo came in a leather case.
@@TheRealestIdealistyou did NOT get the joke
@@sleepynet13 Obviously you failed to see how I was playing along WITH the joke....lol
The wooden kazoo seems to have a sharper sound to it. It might also be due to it's shape.
Yeah. Agreed. It's way more buzzy. Thanks for checking out the video.
thanks. i have been bugged by my mom for an instrument and i realized i could get a kazoo to sing my favorite songs in games with it!
Glad I could help. The kazoo is one of the easier instruments to learn. Good luck.
Thanks for this comparison. You sold me on the wooden kazoo!

Thank you for this!! Was needing to hear the wood one compared.
Glad to hear the video was helpful. Thanks for watching.
You may find the wooden Kazoos which I sell interesting. I have made videos on it if you want to check it out.
Thanks for watching the video. I will check yours out.
Hey @Siddharth Dhakan, do you guys ship outside of india?
How funny a wooden kazoo and 6 metal ones cool. I think the wood one is the coolest. And the tone is pretty nice I mean for a kazoo!! Good job
Yeah. The wood one is definitely the most unique.
I have an Aklot Tenor ukulele which I love, never knew they made Kazoo's so may have to invest in one just for fun! Thanks for the comparison!
Happy to help! To be fair, I'm pretty sure Aklot just puts their name on these, I don't think they actually make them but still... decent kazoos at a good price.

I just hear about kazoo today and try to find a comparison about wooded and metal. This video help.Me thx
Glad to help. Thanks for watching the video.
I'm getting one, because I definitely don't need it, but you genuinely seemed to have fun there and I'm a bit jealous...

WOW.. AMZING COMBINATION MAN
Thanks for watching.
My Aklot just came today
I looooove it!
Thanks for watching the video. I hope you have fun with the new kazoo.
I think the metal one sounded a little more saxy.
Indeed it does. I think the metal one sounds more like a traditional kazoo. The wooden one has a character all it's own though. Thanks for watching.
I'm surprised how good that sounds. Wooden kazoos usually sound kind of weird. I think I might grab that.
Thanks for watching. It’s a decent kazoo.
Thanks for the video

Which is good kazoo? aluminum or wooden?🤔🤔🤔🤔

I have the same metal kazoo! Exept mine is red.
Thanks for checking out the vid.
I bought them both but they not work ... I don't know if they are damage or me can't use them please advise me

how do you change the membrane on the wooden kazoo?

May I know which one is the best?

Gracias bendiciones el de madera tiene un sonido uniko me encanta lo compro 😁😁😁😁😁😁
De nada.
Hey, how often do I need to change membrane?
That depends on how much you play it and the climate and a lot of other factors but the membranes typically last for a few years with casual play.
The wooden kazoo sounds more pro with the guitar.
It does have a woodier tone that pairs nicely. Thanks for watching.
Cool kazoos, I'm gonna get one of those for sure
It's hard to turn them down for the price. Thanks for checking out the video.
Which is the best among the two ? Does the wooden one comes with extra membrane?
Thanks for watching. I personally like the sound of the metal one better, because I think it sounds more like a traditional kazoo. They’re $1dollar each here in PH
PH is an abbreviation for Planet Hollywood but I don't think that's what you mean. LOL.
My wood Kazoo does not sound even close to yours. I really want to like it because it is beautiful but it doesnt sound as good as my blue kazoo.
