I grew up in Toronto and get this!! Went to a Jays game and guess who was sitting in the row right in front of us??? It was only Geddy effing Lee!!! He was sooo nice, signed our ticket stubs but then we left him alone because we knew he was a huge baseball fan and wanted to watch the game... Made my day but as I think of it now? I wonder whatever happened to the ticket stub??? lol
Oh my gosh I would have framed those ticket stubs LOL... we live in Barrie, and my hubby through a friend of Neil's got a drumstick from Neil and an 08' concert... let's just say that thing is in Fort Knox haha:)

Love Geddy and can't wait to read the book... but I could not handle going to one of these shows - listening to the crowd cheer the most obvious or mundane things. "Should we sit down and get more comfortable?" "Wooohooo!!" They're having a good discussion about stage fright, but it gets interrupted because everyone has to cheer when Peart's name is mentioned, as if it isn't a given that everyone in the room is a fan of Neil. So annoying.
@@GregTheRushFan @funkydozer what I could see happening with that is Geddy will have a mystery guest as normal… someone like a player for the Blue Jays, for example… then halfway through the presentation, you hear this ruckus and someone talking… then comes Lerxst… and everyone goes nuts, of course… but he and Geddy look at each other and ask at the same time… “what are you doing here???” Lerxst then says something like “I told you last night over the phone that I was supposed to be doing…. wait a minute… where the hell am I??? Alex then realized he went to the wrong place, or was dropped off at the wrong place… whichever. It all sounds like typical Lerxst humor that would be part of his grand enterance, and in pure Lerxst style
Alex was the guest interviewer at the Toronto tour stop. If you haven't already seen it, the video is called 'Geddy Lee, Live at Massey Hall'. The interview (more like a conversation) was very entertaining.
I was at the R30 show in 2004 when Jack stripped down to his underwear on stage. I saw him before the show so I knew he was there, but nobody expected to see him on stage lol
me too... I had seen Jack Black walking around before the show so I knew he was in the audience, but then seeing him on stage during 2112 was a big surprise lol
There is just something mega cool about seeing Geddy Lee imitate the star man

What’s interesting is that one of the MLB games for play station 2… when you look in the crowd every like 10th spectator resembles Geddy Lee.
