Great guide, thanks a lot! A couple of things I could add from my side: - you can use dispersion while being mounted and it won't dismount you. Not everyone knows this and it might save ya ass one day - in bgs dispersion synergizes well with nitro boots, you can pretty much escape whenever you need to - you can silence a DK to freecast a VT or a mind blast. DKs can't kick you when they're silenced - you can still use shackle undead and abolish disease while in shadowform since they're considered discipline spells - this might be a controversial opinion, but it's usually better to psychic horror someone offensively than defensively. If yer getting bladestormed just hit dispersion, don't waste your stun on trying to disarm a warrior when he can still kick or reflect your cast even when disarmed
Some good tips for new players, but not the last one, teaching people to not disarm bladestorm is making a support class not really supportive, they can remove a bladestorm for anyone nearby that is getting smacked in a bag or arena, if you just disperse you’re only stopping him killing you, good for duels though

i agree with your last comment. obviously this is situational. but most of the time it is better to use your PH offensively than defensively. but obviously if you and a partner are getting cleaved and you dont have a healer you probably want to do so. or to save someone. but if you can eat the dmg and it not put you behind its 100% better to save it for a DMG setup or a CC chain etc.
A tip I have for cancelaura dispersion, is to make a macro on any spell but I personally have it on vampiric touch. This way you can always spam your dispersion without instantly going out, and you just press your VT for when you wanna get out. Also, you don't have to cast VT for the macro to cancelaura your disperse. It helps a ton imo

Here are also my niche contributions to the spriest pvp changes from tbc to wrath: - Silence has no gcd, you can now do a 360 psychic horror + silence to your offtargets in 3s if you're a Rambo - Silence and mind flay have their ranges bumped into 36 yards, you can now be more effective at longer ranges for example in 3s and 5s - R1 spells/buffing/dotting is not doable anymore, meaning you wont be able to lure your opponents into dispelling cheap dots. Also means you cant for example use r1 fear when fighting 3 or less opponents making the mana cost a bit more salty - VT/swp changes, both of them give mana now when dispelled if talented (which you prolly should), also VT gives a nice backlash TO THE TARGET, when dispelled, meaning a healer can accidentally blow their target up when dispelling them, opposed to unstable affliction, which applies its effects to the dispeller. - As mentioned, shadow weave now stacks on you, this hurts for debuff dispel protection, but gives as mentioned a nice dispel protection for yourself and also enables you to do better switches on targets, even more so as spriest seems to be more bursty in wotlk - VT mana regen mechanic changed (this is pretty huge in some combos). This means you can no longer be the mana batter for example to a shatterplay or in 5s caster cleave, so watch that mana. Ofc dispersion and buffed shadowfiend helps with this, but generally the rotation for mana sustain is not the same anymore! - Improved shadowform talent also enables you not to lose a lot of casting time when casting in shadowform. This means that you no longer have to track martydom in such a huge scale when fighting enemies and wanting to mind flay/mind blast them. Shadow priests are in a hugely great spot now throughout wrath since we are in patch 3.4.0. They were buffed during the whole wrath, including our dispersion cd, devouring plague rework etc. So have at it, once you go black you never go back! Cheers!

Come on Hozito, you're cheating us here. All of this info has been out for the last 12 years. We don't sub to the #1 priest to see if we should get haste or crit. Give us strategies. Tell us how YOU play against rogue/mage, dk/hpally, war/druid. Give us something we can't get from a google search.

Where did the 4% hit number come from? I've seen 4, 5, and 6%... I don't unerstand. Our talents alone give our shadow spells 3% hit, + another talent gives 3% base hit.. so with just talents we're already at 6% hit, why do we need hit rating???

My buddy boosted a mage, and I have a lock at 70 currently but considering boosting a priest to 70. We could play MLS or MLD in 3s as lock but obviously shatterplay seems like so much fun. Do you have any pros / cons or final thoughts on choosing between destro lock and shadow priest as a main? for which would be more fun / learning curve etc
I think if you play warlock you gotta get used to have PET CONTROL. If your are bad managing your pet then lock is not your class. I feel Shadow Priest is easier in a way that you only have to worry how you manage your mana. Overall both classes are super strong in wrath and I would say just play what you enjoy the most.

try to always mind blast when u get ur vt off so u get the buff for regen mana and also try to don't spam dp that much cuz that will oom you super fast.
How important is Improved Fort? Mainly play with rogue, feel like i need the mortal strike and faster MB cast time, do i drop the 2 points in Focused Mind?
I'm struggling with so many keybinds, especially with all the arena target 1,2,3 for so many macros. Can you share your keybinds please? I'm trying to be as consistent as possible with shift and control modifiers but it's fairly chaotic.
Hi hozi , since shadow priest stacks on haste > Cri , so our Cri usually less than 15% , and ppl's resilience will - 10% Cri chance ,as a result, the Cri chance only 5% , should i choose spirit instead cri for better mana regen?

Shadow word: death can get you out of polymorf and other CC if you cast it justo barely before enemy finish the cast.

U need to aim 4% hit for dispel magic and if possible over cap it cuz of blood elf rogues so somthing around 5% ish should be good
