The front shocks are 0-2 imch height adjustable. You can get up to 2 inch lift at front. Check my other video on 5100 unboxing where I show how that works. for rear lift you will need to add a leaf.
Car-Addiction Ok so today completed 1 year since I bought my Xterra. I put 27k km which is the most I’ve done in a year! It has been fantastic. Lots of trips and off-roading. Helped family members move to new house and carried building materials for our house. Great work horse! My shocks are still good but the idea of lifting the X doesn’t want to leave my head :) I buy them online. So are left and right shocks identical or do I have to be careful when purchasing?
Hello Agent K, been some time havent seen you commenting on the channel. left an rights are different and always buy them in pairs. Look for thr biltein 5100 0-2" lift ones, you can get a 2" lift doing almost nothing at the front and adding a rear leaf spring. You can go to the nisstech website and find full lift kits from different brands. Lot of people has added body lifts too keeping the suspension stock.
Wait... @2:20 you mentioned that you have 4600's in the front, but 4600's are yellow and 5100's are silver. It seems as though you have the silver 5100 series in the front and the yellow 4600's installed on the rear. Just trying to clear up some confusion.
the video was shot after I switched all to 5100. Prior to this, I had 4600 in the front and 5100 in the back. Sorry for the confusion, please subscribe. !!
do you have facebook or instagram? i just bought a 2006 xterra se. purpose was for offroading. i saw your other video where you recommended buying offroad edition but i saw ur video too late lol. i definitely would like to pick u brain on these as im new to nissan world and offroading world as well.
Yes I do have a personal Facebook. But let's converse at the comment section because lot of other experienced people can join the discussion too. I recommend the off road edition because it comes from the factory with lots of upgrade. Not to discount the SE that it's a bad choice as an offroad rig. So tell me what's your plan and how much off roading you want to do.
@@runningrich well to begin i live in london ontario. i plan on going up north to the major trails near haliburton and minden. My plan with the rig is to add a 2inch body lift , and whatever lift available for the suspension. do you think because i got the se, i should upgrade the rear diff? the trails ill be attending consists of rock climbing, river crossings, and forest trails.
You have the R200 diff but I don't think you have the lockers. I would recommend a 2" body with old man emu lift kit all around. If you have the cash get the Eton diff kit, will get you the rock climbing capability. But as a start, just take the truck to a trail and let's see how it does as is. You can upgrade from there. 50% of off roading is skill and the other 50% is equipment.
I just got the Bilstein Series 5100 for the rear, and 6112 for the front on my Nissan Xterra.
Any height lift?
Thank you, everyone, for all your support in 2018. I am looking forward to an amazing 2019, Stay tuned for lots of awesome upcoming content.
Thanks for the helpful information

Where do you recommend to buy these in Canada? Thanks
There is a Bilstein official distributor in BC. Just Google Bilstein Canada. They do offer 10% off from time to time.
Thanks I'm looking at 5100 for my 2008. So you don't even need a lift kit? The shocks provide lift?

@@runningrich Thanks! I'll check your other videos. Coincidentally I am traveling to Canada next week!
