  • Pedia_Roid: Pediatric patient robot simulates the typical reaction and behavior of a child patient who is nervous of receiving dental treatment. She is designed for dental/medical/healthcare students to train on and develop necessary skills for treating child patients such as communication skills, medical accident avoidance skills and basic life support skills in emergency situations. Such training is very difficult to conduct with live child patients, but Pedia_Roid provides a realistic yet safe and effective learning and skill-enhancing environment.
    Features:
*Various facial expressions and body movements such as:
-Squirming to express a child’s nervousness and anxiety.
-Unexpected movement of the head, tongue, arms and legs to simulate a child’s resistance to being treated.
-Crying and screaming responses to convey a child’s refusal to receiving treatment.
*Replicates systemic accidental symptoms such as:
-Convulsions stemming from acute attack and anaphylaxis shock due to local anesthesia positioning.
*Allows students to practice and acquire basic life support skills such as:
    -Checking for vital signs
    -Intravenous injection
    -Cardiac massage

It's nice to see additional video of the model.besides the previous video of seizure simulation.
It gives you a chance to appreciate the design teams high quality level of realism and attention to details. The physical xoordi ation of it's movements, simulated eye's and especially the tiny teeth look very lifelike.
