Why the margin of error about the point of estimate(success(proportion) different between the upper and lower limit of confidence interval?...I mean if the calculated point of estimation for example 438 then the distance from 438 to upper limit (701) is 263 while the distance to lower limit is 240...that means we have got two different margin of error!...please elaborate this I came across the same problem on different research paper !
There is no stipulation with the Clopper Pearson method that your interval be symmetric, where the distance between point estimate and upper bound is the same as the distance between the estimate and lower bound. The Clopper Pearson method is not a normal theory method for forming intervals. There are various approaches to creating confidence intervals for proportions, with the C-P method being one. I have data on children and their birth weight, height, duration of breastfeeding and a couple of other variables. Say I want to just calculate the proportion of children with a bodyweight of >4000g, how would I do that? It wont just be binary would it?

Why would one choose Clopper Pearson over Jeffreys?

You have to recode the variables into binary value
