  • The BYD Atto3 is a special car running with BYD own LFP blade batteries.
How is it to drive? Is it worth the money? How does it compare to the MG 4?

That said I do want them to bring out a deluxe version...
      RWD
      Slighting larger battery pack
      More powerful motor
      22kW AC
      160kW DC
A real American style Frunk NOT a Korean style shoe box frunk.
Everything else should stay the same.

I own one in New Zealand and I love everything about it. Very, very happy. The rotating screen does not sit as high as your camera angle made it look. It is handy when using navigation if you want to see long range ahead. The steering wheel feels very nice and is a nice sporty size. The fabric feels smooth and I like the finish. I am enamoured of the ‘Hi BYD’ verbal instructions. I don’t have to look for buttons to open the sun roof, turn the music up or down, or the fan and temperature up or down. I use mine in ‘eco’ and am very happy with it.

What range do you have when on eco all the time? Bigger or smaller battery?

@@ianburnett4605 I have the larger battery. Honestly I am not tech minded and don’t know what range I get. The car says 480 but so far I am hearing people say 380 and above in warm weather, I believe some one get 400kms. We are yet to experience our first winter to ascertain range then.

@@deedawson6074 The big battery is WLTP rated at 420km.
WLTP is the one I take notice of as it seems to be the closest to reality in terms of every day city driving.
would love to hear what range people are getting putting to work in eco mode only, which is what Id do.

the vertical screen is great when you're using the navigation, then the big screen really lets you see a big part of your route (having it horizontally just shows more of the surroundings you won't drive through).

I have one here in Australia and achieve the 420km if I ran the battery down to zero with city driving. I changed the tyres to Continental Ecocontact XL 5 tyres as soon as I took delivery. We are waiting for Android Auto and Apple carplay to be sent to our vehicles as an OTA hopefully by Christmas. We have had an OTA already the added navigation, Spotify and voice recognition commands.

We got the 235 here, ...you are not missing anything,,,,, But I heard that the range is bound to the tire size, in a way,, some place with the 215 , the range is above 420 KM..... The pedal, the torque, its punchy, tires spin...gradual pedal pressure avoids a bit of wheelspin
      Safe driving

I like it but, those guitar strings would have to go because the kids in the back will drive you mad twanging them all the time. I'm not too sure about the full Build Your Dreams wording on the boot lid either. The UK price is a bit high but having said that even the base spec Active model comes with a heat pump & a Pano roof as standard both of which are not available on the UK MG4. I also think the UK cars come on branded tyres which may help with the front tyre scrabbling. A BYD dealer is opening near us in a few months time so we can have a look at it in more detail then. It might still be a bit too expensive for what we need but I think I would prefer the Atto3 over the MG4 because it will be easier to get in & out of &, the interior looks to be better quality.

According to their international website it seems to have 11kw AC charging? Also the main screen seems to be 15,6 inches. Maybe there has been or will be a refresh withing the upcoming months

When I tried it they told me that 11kW AC (3 phase) will be available later. It seems to be 2 different screens where the 12,8" is standard and the 15,6" is extra and included in the design version. Both rotating.

    this is a ok car.
price is to high here 47K witch you can get a more well know brand.
the 88kw charging is realy low for 2022.
if price was around 40-42K it might have been a option now it not.
we get this model or the bigger unafordable han and tang for 70-75K
The best model Seal is knowhere to be found for know if ty can kepp price around 42K its a option
pricing the seal near tesla model 3 it will never sell and maybe thats wy there not releasing it here

Design paketet ger 3 fas laddning och 88kw laddning säger ingenting om laddkurvan. Ex Tesla Model y klarar 250kw men i snitt blir det 124kw på en laddning

    • @ItsOnlyElectric
      @ItsOnlyElectric  Год назад

What tires did it have on it? Batman no name as they have on the Australian Atto3 models or are they specific EV designed tires like Michelin ePrimacy for example? Also owners in Australia and New Zealand are getting over 400km in good weather in mixed driving but mostly urban rather than highway. The highway ranges are similar to what you said 350km although depending on conditions and driving style as with any car ICE or EV could be more or less. Do you get a V2L adapter in Sweden and does it output up to 16A?

    • @ItsOnlyElectric

In summer it's running on Continental EcoContact 18" profile 50 XL. The one I tried had Scandinavian friction winter tires.
