Had a G27 for a while and just got me a Thrustmaster flight hotas x and combined the two in a few games. I must say, it lifts the games to an higher level. Wished I did it sooner. Thanks for this video, even though it's already more then a year old. Thumbs for the vid and driving skills....

its too narrow and distorted, not like what it would look like in real life. To achieve real FOV, you have to set the FOV of the game to match the FOV of your eyes to the screen, then its realistic. The default FOV of the game is usually around 60 degrees, where as to make it real it has to be around 20 degrees give or take 10 depending on your setup (how far away you sit from the monitor and how big your monitor is). The difference when you do switch it is amazing, feels much more real, trying to drive with 60 degrees for me now is just ridiculous, can't judge distance or anything. Search "rfactor FOV tutorial" in google and "zeospantera rfactor" on youtube and youll see what I mean.
Roman Irlin I'm familiar with the whole FOV concept, I did my research too and I think I have a pretty critic eye towards what looks right or not, and the FOV of that pantera guy would only work out in a 5 screen setup, otherwise you'd lose way too much field of view.
Roman Irlin What? His FOV is spot on. If think it's narrow because the road is narrow... well, that road *is* narrow. Just look the car's dash. It's almost exactly the size and position it would be in a real car.
you'd lose FOV but youd gain a more immersive experience. judging distance like when to break is much easier for example with real FOV regardless of the screen size

Why do you drive without FFB? Plus, I have tried that before, but I just can't drive without feeling the car oversteering, understeering, etc.
