This game was actually one of my first shooters on PC. I actually decided to redownload it today. It's actually a very fun game still, even if the graphics don't look the best, but it is a ton of fun.
+Gora Kievskaya I recently started playing those games. Its pretty good, makes me wish something like Dayz followed the same layout, as in a story mode where you could help or fight different factions of survivors by going on scavenging or raiding missions. Then it would also be interesting to see different zombie types as well as random roaming hoardes of zombies. So again, pretty much Stalker but with zombies instead of mutants.

But the default SMG in blackshot are not that op even you mastered headshot it still takes at least 6 shots in the head to kill someone. So what is the point of using SMG anyway. Also rifles that cost real money are insanely over power. One of the rifle has high damage and no recoil at all. Also lost temple is a blue sided map and if you pick the blue team you can destroy red team from their spawn and outside stairs near their spawn where they can get snipe by snipers by going straight or get shot by enemy from above them. But back then i don't give a shit about balance i just played the game and try hard everything getting head shot was easy for me because i played bunker defense a lot when my friends were offline.

It gave us a common hobbit, it created fun for us. A few years later, the game started to sell exclusive weapons that could cost more than 100€. The “free to play” concept was gone, and we slowly moved on to other hobbits.

This isn't only popular in China. It started to gain popularity back at around 2011 throughout South East Asia. Was about 5th grade at the time and everyone in the internet cafes were playing this, dota and I think another shooter called Special Force. Had a lot of fun times but... At the time I didn't really mind the graphics but now, it's just... It hasn't aged well.
I've played this game about 5-6 years ago, mostly because I liked lurking internet cafes watching people play back then. This game is still pretty much played in Internet cafes everywhere in my country.
This game is famous only because it is free. You have all the third and second world to play it (the whole latin america, asia, africa, and other countries).
I used to play Point Blank back in the days. Developed by Zepetto, a South Korean company. A lot of people play this game in Brazil, actually Crossfire was played a lot too. And today we have a huge BF4 community :D
Man, I haven't even thought of this game for years. A good friend of mine showed me the Mutation Mode in this game in 2010 and I played because I was a young little child and my access to games was restricted to what my parents would buy me. It's cool to see a game I enjoyed years ago is still the exact same.
I picked up CF years ago and recently started playing it again with clan mates. It's actually pretty fun and competitive if you get over the lack of graphics.
the user number of this game is actually based on a Chinese online chatting app QQ developed by Tencent company, it's like a Chinese version Facebook+whatsapp.because the most people in China don't have access to log In Facebook or any worldwide popular apps, the user number of this specific QQ is significantly huge, and once you sign up the QQ, your account will automatically connect to the other productions from Tencent. Crossfire is one of the production developed by a Korean studio and administrated by Tencent In China. So reasonablely the huge number of this game also reflict the number of QQ number.
Todd Harris I don't know whats that but yes probably...... sometimes global situation does affect the way people gaming in different countries....(oh yes....two years ago I don't even know the existence of Facebook......)
So just because it doesn't look appealing it must suck? Excellent logic that you're running by. This game is fucking awesome I've been playing it for years.
+Aaron Galindo Same here bro! I didn't even care about the graphics. The gameplay was just too much fun! But I quit because there were too many hackers at the time. They even put region restrictions on the NA client just when I thought I'd return... Crossfire EU is not fun at all.
I am a Chinese and I spent a lot of time and money in this game when i studied in middle school as well as my classmates. At that time, if we want to play FPS games with others, this game was one of the best choices. I know this is a terrible game, I still have a lot of fun playing this game at that time. What a memory!
omg I remember playing this a lot when I was young lol. When you are the only one left on your team, you have to crouch walk (repeatedly crouching and uncrouching while moving) in order to remove your footstep noise.
It really isn't fair to say Crossfire is a clone when it does so much different then CS. And comparing the graphics to the polygons of CS: 1.6 is uhh...bit much... Lots of americans refuse to play CF either because they are too proud of they're payed game CS: GO or because lets say, " Humble " Graphics turn them off. But this game really does make up for any issues in it's over all variety. Literally over 4x the number of guns our dear old Counter Strike has. Every gun feels completely different although I will admit you'll get people talking shit at you for using a gun that isn't an M4A1 or an AK-47. VIP weapons are also pretty Overpowered especially in the hands of somebody who knows how to use them. But the same can be said for all the free weapons you have access to, too. AK kills one shot in the head helmet or not and is considered the #1 gun in the entire game. I could get into how creative and fun the other game modes are but I'm sure comments will ignore any point I have to make.
Omg I was playing this game like 5 or 4 years ago and my pc deleted it and I forgot the name but now my favorite game is back and I can download it thank you!! 😂
i come from China, yeah that is true this s--t is the most popular fps in my country but not anymore ...people who play this game are almost children, we call them primary school students...and now we have codol(lol),.However there still many people play battlefield, counter strike global offensive or other popular shooter games.(BATTLEFIELD 4 NOT BANNED IN CHINA!just need vpn...internet in china sucks...)
i used to play this game back in brazil i had a very cheap laptop me and my brother used to play on my grandma's computer it was fun playing with him and overall i dont think a bad game even playing nowadays or maybe its just the nostalgia that's making this game good
One thing lvlcap really should've mentioned is that because people in Asia can't afford good PCs or lots of games, internet cafes are way more popular over there than in the West and since this is a free game, pretty much every internet cafe has it installed. That and the fact that being studious is much more important in Asia than in the US means that a lot of young gamers have to play by "studying at the library" because they aren't allowed to play at home. Because CS isn't a f2p game, most internet cafes don't have it available and a lot of gamers in those regions wouldn't have even heard of it. It's not that there's a huge difference in the tastes of Asian gamers, after all LoL and DotA are huge over there, it's just that if it's not available at the internet cafes, it's gonna be hard for it to do well.
U wanna learn why this game is so popular? Read on. First of all Level, pls. As a 2 year crossfire player(on both chinese and NA servers) I can say that it is definitely pay2win and is one of the worst shooters in FPS history. Single Guns in this game can cost up to 100USD and literally like 90% of the remotely useful weapons can only be purchased with 100USD, or the premium lottery system, which can sometimes cost U even more. Bugs that were present in 2008 have STILL NOT BEEN FIXED and they are all big ones that drastically change up the flow of the game. And some maps are LITERALLY 1:1 clonesnof CS maps. In fact, Tencent actually got SUED for havig a map in the game that is literally exactly the same is DUST 2 from CS. This map has been removed from NA servers already. So why is this game so popular? The answer to that is simple - MONOPOLIZATION. Tencent, the company who developed wechat, monopolizes the entire gaming market in China and probably bribes off the government to
+Cpt. Insanity and I know becuz when we gather up and talk about video games they often confess with no guilt shown whatsoever. And yes, I sometimes hang out with these ppl becuz they are kind of unavoidable at my school, but that doesn't mean that they're my friends
So what ur saying is... that you are so shit at games that you in particular require $100 to actually kill other players? The $100 weapons only add a slight faster reload a bayonet slight increase wall shot damage and a cool cosmetic skin. Lol.
Hahaha. Cf wasn't sued lol. "Black Widow" is still In CFNA ever since released. Lol trying to make the game that u were shit at seem vs by making lies.
Used to play this back when it was on Suba. Still can't believe Smilegate forces you to use mouse smoothing after all these years. If the game didn't have mouse smoothing, it would actually be rather fun. Alliance of Valiant Arms is another game to look at. Hasn't aged well at all in terms of graphics or playerbase but the core gameplay is still great.
I actually played the shit out of this a few years ago, loved it. Spent soooo much time trying to get new weapons and shit then playing the zombie mode. I miss it :(
I've played CF for years, and I still enjoy it occasionally. The only thing keeping me from re-embracing yellow fever and motor-boating the nearest SPOP right now is the fact that I can't play it on my current Macbook because OSX is hella bad to code games with apparently.
I loved this game! i was awesome at it. Got called hacker so much I had to add a hot key saying I had an 80$ gaming kb and an 80$ gaming mouse. One match I killed EVERY player on the opposing team and I was the only one left alive on my team.
You said that this kind of game is not very popular in the west but, at least in Brasil, this kind of game is very popular, I used to play Crossfire, Warface and other FTP games when I didn't have a good pc for games, and there were a ton of people who played it with me
Hey Levelcap very interesting vid you posted! I really liked the change. Perhaps you could do a mini series on introducing other FPS games around the world? It'd be very interesting.
This game is one of those P2W games that I have ever known: _ Utilities available like helmets, armor can only be bought with real money. _ cash shop weapons give real advantages in the game. (Ex: a painted gun have 5 more bullets, reloading faster etc.) _ Weapon can be broken down, and repair them cost a lot, because you will spend about 3/4 of your money rewrd each match for repairing, so unless you buy a gold boost pack or receive reward money for buying cash shop, you're in for a big disadvantage. _ Characters in cash shop can have faster speed run, and in some game modes, they are obviously powerful ( Zombie mode, instead of red zombie, you can buy more powerful types from cash shop, and use them in the said mode) Oh, and did I forget to mention how many hacks available for this game ?
there is a ranked mode where it gives everyone the same guns for free. you can play on scrims where you are only allowed to use the gp ak and char/ awm on normal pubs or normal ranked where anyone can use anything the gp ak is still a one shot kill to the head and ak is the main gun in the game. its about skill. also this is a free game if you are crying about vip then its not much just to buy one. or you can just play in scrims or that ranked mode i talked about. but you really dont need a vip to be a good player. just because someone will buy a vip or something it wont make them good if they are bad. there are guns in the game like the 9a and tmp that are not even vips and they are over powered af. there are non vip snipers you can win for free one of them even has a faster speed than one of the vip snipers. im a crossfire player yet i still reached global on csgo and have gotten lots of frag clips in high ranked mm.
For all the clueless people coming here after the CrossfireX trailer, this isn't the game. This game is the original one released in 2007 (2008 in NA/UK), however it's still going strong to this day with a healthy playerbase and a competitive scene. They have been working for a sequel for about 6 years now and apparently want to bring it to consoles aswell, called CrossfireX. It's pretty much the same concept and gameplay but with better graphics, played on Unreal Engine 3. If you want to see some actual gameplay footage search CrossFire HD, which had its closed beta a few months ago. I'm curious how this is gonna workout for console.
Most people in Asia play games att lane cafes. They mostly play what's already installed on the PCs.

Cazz P4ntana [BKNcio] Those games are not being played by most of the people like in other countries. An exception does not invalid the rule
This game has more content than Battlefront..
I still play this game xD
It's fun af
rank?
Almost captain. I don't focus on my rank much as I usually scim in e8
ItzFluffy Im Major 7th 😂😂😂 NA version, playing this for fun too tbh 😂😂😂
im captain too! 3rd class with Infernal dragon and axe beast
how I do to play CF with the Americans ? .. bacause in the Brazil has a lot of hackers
I used to play Point Blank back in the days. Developed by Zepetto, a South Korean company. A lot of people play this game in Brazil, actually Crossfire was played a lot too. And today we have a huge BF4 community :D
CROSSFIRE X COMING
Man, I haven't even thought of this game for years. A good friend of mine showed me the Mutation Mode in this game in 2010 and I played because I was a young little child and my access to games was restricted to what my parents would buy me. It's cool to see a game I enjoyed years ago is still the exact same.
Same bro
Yup. I was waiting for "China"
I picked up CF years ago and recently started playing it again with clan mates. It's actually pretty fun and competitive if you get over the lack of graphics.
Ah yes... good old days. I loved the mutation mode.... glitching in a pack of boxes as a surviver and killing them all with a minigun.. lmao.
YES JESUS CHRIST HOLY SHIT I NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD GET THAT NOTICED HOPEFULLY THIS WILL CONTINUE
+guy cloudy It's the most played fps in the world. I think it's already been noticed by quite a lot of people.
+fhgdngdfh youtube wise in north america it doesnt get much attention
Why? It's garbage. It's only popular cause shitty pcs can play it.
+ThePastyPrince Someone here is smart.
yea thats why its popular
(sarcasm)
You mean Counter-Strike 1.6, not 1.5.
No he meant 1.5. The original counter strike mod went from 1-1.6
Fucking nerds
+Jim Says the basement dwelling virgin.
+Mateoski Productions says the 1.7 gay lord
+Jim Terrible at insulting too. Not surprised.
Pls nerf china. Its so OP
the user number of this game is actually based on a Chinese online chatting app QQ developed by Tencent company, it's like a Chinese version Facebook+whatsapp.because the most people in China don't have access to log In Facebook or any worldwide popular apps, the user number of this specific QQ is significantly huge, and once you sign up the QQ, your account will automatically connect to the other productions from Tencent. Crossfire is one of the production developed by a Korean studio and administrated by Tencent In China. So reasonablely the huge number of this game also reflict the number of QQ number.
Oh by the way, I hate this fucking game.........
+文钰杰 That makes sense, so basically this game is like adware
Todd Harris I don't know whats that but yes probably...... sometimes global situation does affect the way people gaming in different countries....(oh yes....two years ago I don't even know the existence of Facebook......)
Closest thing to orginal soldier front that I'd love to try out.
Give It To Me you can play solider front on bullsf
@@chimeziewilliams5293 how is the player base? I know it probably isn't big but hopefully at least over 100.
Give It To Me i heard it’s pretty big over a few 100
well duh, because it works on low end PCs and it's free (this game doesn't run on pc btw)
+NaderGhost what do you mean it doesnt run on pc
This game is so easy to run, the Xbox one can run it in 60 fps 900p!
+Quietbut_Deadly The PS2 can run it 480p 60fps
+fhgdngdfh i think he meant that its a browser game?
hahaha8767 it's not, you have to download it
Used to love this game. It's actually really fun. Especially the ghost mode
Yeah indeed! I like that mode a lot.
Im a global elite in csgo and csgo getting sucks tbh this game is actually awesome and there are some game modes.
tried csgo and its just not like crossfire. ill never get tired of playing this game. been playing this since 2010
Secret Level brought me here lol
Never heard of this game. Didn't lose much. Looks like shit.
it gave me the downs
+Alexa Rosencrantz its just a shitty random ass game
so just cause it looks like shit its not playable right? smh. kids now adays. guess i should never play super smash bros cause of its GRAPHICS
NAH ITS THE BEST
i am live russia, we have game 'counterstrike' you may not hear of it
no
Luke O'Keefe Russian bee?
blyat
do you even english bro?
omg I remember playing this a lot when I was young lol. When you are the only one left on your team, you have to crouch walk (repeatedly crouching and uncrouching while moving) in order to remove your footstep noise.
The nostalgia was real when the mutation gameplay came up.
i honestly don’t care about csgo in my opinion this game is more fun
for sure
Shifty Eyed Dragon so it's a clone is what you are trying to say
Shifty Eyed Dragon yas yas I support yah
Omg I was playing this game like 5 or 4 years ago and my pc deleted it and I forgot the name but now my favorite game is back and I can download it thank you!! 😂
SHOUT OUT TO ALL FILIPINO WHO GROW UP PLAYING THIS GAME!! THE NOSTALGIA IS REAL
my god this game brings back memories. remember playing this shit back in 2010-2012 and that alien infestation mode was my fucking jam
1.5? You mean 1.6?
1.6 is the last updated version, prior there were 1.5, 1.4 ecc
+〉 effe The graphics are not this bad, comparing to cs 1.5? Really?
+Snipy CS I think the graphics are more like cs:source
+Snipy CS actually it looks like 1.1
+carl elg It looks like CS 1.6 to be honest
still playing this game all time lol cant stop:p since 2009....
nrojbsa been playing since 2009 too xd
Subagames 😍
i come from China, yeah that is true this s--t is the most popular fps in my country but not anymore ...people who play this game are almost children, we call them primary school students...and now we have codol(lol),.However there still many people play battlefield, counter strike global offensive or other popular shooter games.(BATTLEFIELD 4 NOT BANNED IN CHINA!just need vpn...internet in china sucks...)
Chris 穿越火线――三亿脑残儿童的枪战梦想 :)
This game is the wrost fos game ever
i used to play this game back in brazil i had a very cheap laptop me and my brother used to play on my grandma's computer it was fun playing with him and overall i dont think a bad game even playing nowadays or maybe its just the nostalgia that's making this game good
One thing lvlcap really should've mentioned is that because people in Asia can't afford good PCs or lots of games, internet cafes are way more popular over there than in the West and since this is a free game, pretty much every internet cafe has it installed.
It's not that there's a huge difference in the tastes of Asian gamers, after all LoL and DotA are huge over there, it's just that if it's not available at the internet cafes, it's gonna be hard for it to do well.
nive vid Level!
+Dezoz Comment liked their own someone
I like how my classmates only know crossfire
And they dont know the actual good games like TF2 Overwatch CSGO or paladins
In my class. Only me play crossfire. :/
Dat Sucks......dat happens in my school 2.
Crossfire was made way b4 csgo was idiot
@@iori_cs cs was made long before crossfire sp the only idiot here is you
"it's not a play to win game" yeaaaaah.. ok.
Leo The Chemist p2w
its not
Wow, I haven't played this game since... before my little RUclips Career! I'm gonna try it out again & see anything changed.
That video is crystal clear and smooth how’d you do it?
As a Chinese player, I have to say, this is a shitty game. do not support it.
Chaoba He no shit
yes this game is shitty like hell:)
穿越火线,三亿脑残儿童的枪战梦想
Skylice IKR
Skylice same opinion as me
So what ur saying is... that you are so shit at games that you in particular require $100 to actually kill other players? The $100 weapons only add a slight faster reload a bayonet slight increase wall shot damage and a cool cosmetic skin. Lol.
Hahaha. Cf wasn't sued lol. "Black Widow" is still In CFNA ever since released. Lol trying to make the game that u were shit at seem vs by making lies.
Not even as good as Cs as 1.6
who said that it was?
The title said that crossfire is the most popular FPS in the world
William Zhu It's not a lie, and no one said it was good as CS 1.6
***** csgo is better hands down
William Zhu Once again no one ever said it wasn't
Used to play this back when it was on Suba. Still can't believe Smilegate forces you to use mouse smoothing after all these years. If the game didn't have mouse smoothing, it would actually be rather fun.
Alliance of Valiant Arms is another game to look at. Hasn't aged well at all in terms of graphics or playerbase but the core gameplay is still great.
"Crossfire - The Most Popular First Person Shooter In The World!" Counter-Strike players - Am i a joke to you?
A new cossfire!
"It's better than CSGO"
No, it's not. It's shit. Like objectively shit. Undoubtedly worse
its better fuck you
Penile Dementia have your even played it?
Lol ? Your Mom Is The Worse
michael stojovski have you even practiced right grammar?
I'm sure you haven't played it. Play before Rate.
I think I am going to go and try it out again. I used to play a lot back when I was younger when my mom would only PC's from WalMart.
Dude here in Brazil this game has like half of the community of this game.
I still playing this game since 2010-2020 LOL 10 yrs of fun xD
How many players are there?
@@arthurmorgan7045 still a lot
Still playing won’t ever stop
You said that this kind of game is not very popular in the west but, at least in Brasil, this kind of game is very popular, I used to play Crossfire, Warface and other FTP games when I didn't have a good pc for games, and there were a ton of people who played it with me
Hey Levelcap very interesting vid you posted! I really liked the change. Perhaps you could do a mini series on introducing other FPS games around the world? It'd be very interesting.
only ever heard about this via anomaly playing it as a cs go player, and the new xbox version tbh
This doesn't look too bad. It reminds of the days when I used to play Combat Arms rather than doing my school homework.
When this game is the most played fps in the world... And you've never heard of it.
I'm extremely curious to see how Crossfire 2 from Remedy is going to turn out.
I remember playing this game everyday when I was like 7, but then CS:GO found me and I stopped play Crossfire. The memories
This game is one of those P2W games that I have ever known:
_ Utilities available like helmets, armor can only be bought with real money.
_ cash shop weapons give real advantages in the game. (Ex: a painted gun have 5 more bullets, reloading faster etc.)
_ Weapon can be broken down, and repair them cost a lot, because you will spend about 3/4 of your money rewrd each match for repairing, so unless you buy a gold boost pack or receive reward money for buying cash shop, you're in for a big disadvantage.
_ Characters in cash shop can have faster speed run, and in some game modes, they are obviously powerful ( Zombie mode, instead of red zombie, you can buy more powerful types from cash shop, and use them in the said mode)
Oh, and did I forget to mention how many hacks available for this game ?
there is a ranked mode where it gives everyone the same guns for free.
you can play on scrims where you are only allowed to use the gp ak and char/ awm
on normal pubs or normal ranked where anyone can use anything the gp ak is still a one shot kill to the head and ak is the main gun in the game. its about skill.
also this is a free game if you are crying about vip then its not much just to buy one. or you can just play in scrims or that ranked mode i talked about. but you really dont need a vip to be a good player. just because someone will buy a vip or something it wont make them good if they are bad.
there are guns in the game like the 9a and tmp that are not even vips and they are over powered af.
there are non vip snipers you can win for free one of them even has a faster speed than one of the vip snipers.
im a crossfire player yet i still reached global on csgo and have gotten lots of frag clips in high ranked mm.
I'm curious how this is gonna workout for console.
i just can't believe that i am watching crossfire's video in youtube.
This game was my childhood. It was my first pc game and probably my first FPS
Nice
What a throwback. I remember the first time I played this game was around 7 years ago. I use to play it so much then eventually stopped.
Knowing that their planning on making a Crossfire 2 makes me pretty happy.
