- In Road Trip of a Lifetime | Chapter 1, we bought a one-way plane ticket to St. Louis to buy a 1976 Chevrolet G20 Camper Van and trailer. We then drove the Chevy to Indianapolis to check out a lead on a 1952 Harley-Davidson Panhead.
We knew the bike was fully-chromed and had a lot of amazing history, but we weren't sure what was in store when we arrived in Indy.
Follow along in Chapter 2 as we reveal the motorcycle and learn about the bike and its history.

A little Charley Crocket on the radio 🤙🏼
I was watching bikes and beards. There was one just like that in an old guy's collection
I like that you see the history behind the bike, the people, the old times, the emotions, well done👍
Amazing story it goes to show you Harley just isn't. A bike it's a lifestyle and family no matter who you are beautiful piece of history
What a great road trip. It was cool how you guys showed that man show much respect. I can’t imagine just how hard it was for him to see the old girl go down the road. I get emotional selling any of my vehicles, let alone a bike with that much history. Good luck with getting her back on the road, which is where she’s supposed to be. It’s great to see a couple young fellas that appreciate the history and are willing to keep it going for future generations of motorcycle riders. Y’all are class acts for sure.
Lve this stuff to Americana !! 🇺🇸
The original night train, check out the lights on the front !
Nice. That one of a kind Dreamboat from the 50s. The generation of my ol’ man in Southern Indiana.
Makes me think of him and my family down there. Nice ol’ man. That bike is amazing. 👏 Congratulations
Awesome video!
What a kool old Dresser!
Those chrome fender skirts are as rare as hen's teeth... I've only ever seen them on a few other old bikes... I think they were sold by Buco.
Two things-
It'd be great if you could get a quality copies of those photos of the bike from years ago, especially that Panoramic of the whole Club on their bikes... It'd be great to display along with Dreamboat.
And if it's possible, getting your hands on even a repop set of Royalite saddlebags to paint red and white, to replace those later Shovelhead bags would be KILLER.
Cheers!
So dope. Cant wait to see That Dreamboat roll again. More than any good work you may do on the bike, the way you handled the transition of ownership with the previous owner and the attachment to his father's work was done very well. Good on you for that! Looking forward to more to come.
What an amazing bike from a by gone era. The van is pretty cool also. MLR from the U.K. guys.
This is an amazing story, it’s really great to see that you guys restored it and kept it the way you had found it. Keep it up!!
I hear that Charley Crockett playing. Respect
This is the coolest fucking story man!!!
Amazing story.
Great story great find you guys do this motorcycle proud
It’s a treasure! Awesome video, guys 👍🏻

Righteous!
More of this please!
Epic!! I got here through you firing up " Dreamboat". This is legend!! The bike ,the people, the story and then the Chevy van!!! What a great story!!
This is one of the best videos I have seen in a long long time thank you guys
Great story and video!
Awesome find and trip
Great video again guys.... the history shared is great... hearing the stories of the owner and his family i believe is more rare then the bike.... Thank's for sharing... looking forward to more..... Already checking you out on line. . Thanks
That bike is awesome! The van is not. If you are lucky, and it sounds like the two of you are, the coolant leak is from the heater hoses on the engine side of the fire wall and the reason that you can smell it is the worn out engine cover gasket. If you are less lucky you get to replace the heater core. You'll know it's the core it if the smell is extra sweet and it starts to fog the windshield. Please fix engine cover gasket so you don't breathe the carbon monoxide fumes and die in your sleep on the side of the road. While you are at it, look around the head gasket for coolant and check the oil for cream. I understand that you think the clunking was just from a U-joint, but the motor mounts should be checked before you take it on the next big mission. Be nice to that beautiful bike, before you tear into it, give her a very gentle bath.
Incredible…. Well done!
heck yeah!!! love this video
Love the history
So fuckin sick, putting light on that part of the biker culture black biker culture. Man I love to see it. I love it man. Picked up my first harley months ago a 1980 ironhead and im stoked to start riding it.
Awesome vid. I need that trailer!
Nice
Subscribed on the strength of this vid. Good work gentlemen.
Much appreciated!
Awesome video, after thirty years of service I’ve started learning how to turn spanner’s at a Harley Workshop in the UK. Maybe one day I’ll have the epic experience you share in this video. Consider yourselves subscribed to.
Peace.
Oh yeah that trailer you bought I have one identical and I thought they made a mistake when they built it cause it seems like the axle is to far forward but I see now that is the way it's made but I'm still going to cut my axle loose and reposition it to the rear
Keep it between the mustard and mayo and rubber side down GBU later
Let’s see some van more can content
Enjoyed this video. I would have protected the streamers for towing home, and used the wooden tailgate to avoid scraping the mufflers. Cool van, IMO.
Do you guys remember what song that is you’re listening to in the van at 00:22 ???
That felling Bad ? I went through my self it's like robing the dead that's how I felt , but you are going to love it just like the man that had it before you , so be cool with it , it's a good thing and the Pan's life goes on
You guys gonna renovate the van? Cause ì sure want to see that ! Much love from Holland
His dad died 44 years ago (42 when video shot). He died on the younger side of life.
Where did you get that Harley shirt 👍🏼
Where did you get the striped harley davidson shirt? Been looking for one for a long time now! TIA! Cheers
What's with the flemsey trailer to put it on brought 😂
Heater core?
how could you not have a coffee pot in the van?
First white guy on that bike 😂
too much crap on that bike.....
@American Insurgent
Yeah... But that was a "big thing" in the 50s and 60s.
A lot of Dresser Clubs tried to outdo each other.
Some guys called them 'Garbage Wagons'... But I've seen several that I really like, anyway.
Many of them got stripped and chopped in the late 60s/early 70s, so it's kinda kool that these young guys are preserving this one... In fact, it's amazing that it even exists intact.
