When my GSD passed 2 years ago, instead of being angry at God, I thanked him with all my heart for taking you into Heaven. A few months went by, and he rewarded me with that undeniable message I saw that one early morning when I took that walk that we always took together. I'll never forget it. And I'll never stop loving you Lex. We'll be together again one day soon.
Your love for Lex is so touching, and it’s incredible how you found gratitude in the midst of your loss. True. When I was young. I bragged to my friends I have a brother... It was my dog... Then later on.. I had a golden retriever who got 9 puppies... These puppies were born on valentine's day.. it's like a gift.. 😊 Its like these puppies were my children.. one puppy dead and I was so sad.. I didn't anticipated that I will be so emotional loosing a puppy.. I just think that puppy ( beautiful healthy puppy) is destined to be in heaven in such a young age.

I lost my golden labrador 6 weeks ago, he was only 3 yrs old when he died through 100% liver failure, he was such a loving dog, if i coughed he was hugging me around my neck, we slept nose to nose cuddling every night..i am 57yrs old and have lost loving old dogs due to age which i can live with..but my labrador had some special love in him, he became my soulmate dog, I cry every day since i lost him, .i know i will see him one day as i nearly drowned at 13yrs old and felt the cocoon 100% love of the afterlife, I would have gone there gladly, if it wasnt for a friend pulling me out of the water and reviving me..i will never do anything to lose my place in that loving embrace i felt..but will die due to accident or old age..never been afraid of dying since that day 44yrs ago..and know, all my deceased dogs and family are waiting there when my time comes..AND i am not religious in any way
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt story. Your golden Labrador sounds like he was an incredible soul, full of pure love and connection. It's so beautiful how he comforted you, even if it was just a small cough-he truly sounds like your soulmate dog, and that kind of bond is something so rare and special. Your experience with the afterlife is deeply moving, and it’s comforting to know you’ve felt that all-encompassing love. It gives so much hope that one day, we will reunite with our beloved pets and loved ones. I have no doubt your Labrador is still with you in spirit, watching over you with the same love you shared in life. Sending you so much comfort during this difficult time. You’re not alone in your grief, and the love you have for him will forever be a bridge between you both. ❤
ALL the dogs that have shared my life, from my earliest childhood days, WERE LOVED. They may not have eaten the best grub, but they went away with a full belly. They received TLC, all they could eat, a warm bed, pets, the works. I do not miss them, as they gave all they have to give, and I am grateful for that. I do not believe in supernatural mumbo jumbo, but I sure would like to find them, when I'm gone from here, a the edge of that river we are supposed to cross to get to that other place.
So enjoyed your comment. I get silly with my pets talking to them as they come down the home stretch...like with my old boy Murphy I will tell him to go find Chops and Cinnie, et al, and play until I join them.
Just lost my friend last October, and I can't function. I'm retired, and we spent everyday and night together, which makes the loss very painful. I know I will get through it, but these early stages of grief are so painful. When it's my time, knowing we will be together make's me feel so much better.

The bond you shared sounds so deep and special, and it’s only natural to feel the weight of their absence. My condolences to you and I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my American Eskimo that I’ve had for 15 1/2 years back in 2003 I had to put him down because of all the lumps and the fact he couldn’t get up and walk to use the bathroom That wasn’t quality of life anymore. I didn’t want to see him that way and it still hurts to this day I haven’t owned another dog since then, but I’ve had kitties and currently feed 32 stray cats every day and it gives me comfort. It’s something I enjoy doing.i love ❤️ animals god knows I thank God for the time I had with my animals, it’s precious and priceless to me unless you’ve owned an animal.I’ve been around them and grew up around them like I have for many years. @@marloncampbell3421 I also have a number of stray kitties in my back area that I have taken care of for several years. In fact my recently passed dog helped me care for them, he was so patient with them. I did just rescue another dog from the shelter and she has been a great comfort. She has started helping me with the kitty feeding, perhaps hoping I might drop some….I’ve recently made some jewelry from my dogs ashes and is comforting to wear it…..

Oh boy, this was a real tear jerker. I lost my heart dog, Rose, last January. She was an older rescue, had some medical problems the shelter took care of before we got her. She was found as a stray and thought she was about 8 at the time, Aug 2019. We had her about 4 1/2 years. We walked every day and oh how she loved to see squirrels. She would sing (bark) and dance (jump and pull at her leash) for them. Sometimes when she sang all the dogs in the houses near us would sing along with her, much to the chagrin of their owners I'm sure. She was a yellow lab mix, had arthritis and other than our daily walks and going out to do her business she spent most of her time laying around. She always got up and laid down very slow. We have a 2 story house but she was still able to come upstairs with us to bed at night. Then in July of '23 she started to deteriorate. She would stagger when she walked, at times she'd fall down and we had to help her get up. Our daily walk got shorter and shorter but she still always wanted to go. She could no longer navigate the steps so for the next 6 months I slept on an air mattress downstairs so we could be close and she wouldn't be alone. When she passed on I cried every day for a month. I still have a tuft of her fur in a zip lock bag in my nightstand. Every time I go upstairs I take it out, give it a kiss and tell Rosie how much we love her and to have a good day. She finally talked to me one day and said pops, straighten up, it's ok if you get another dog, that she wanted us to do it for her and that she understands. In April we got another yellow lab mix, Chester, who was 4 1/2 when we got him. He had a rough start at life. We got him in Texas (we live in Virginia), the shelter thought he might have been a hunting dog. He was found in an animal trap and had been shot. He has some scars on his right thigh from the trap. They nursed him back, treated his heart worms and we found him about 5 months after the shelter got him. He's now back to full health. Chester and I do our daily walk like I did with Rose and every day I tell him what Rose would do and point out her favorite sniff spots which are now Chesters. He's a good boy and has helped do his part to fill the void in my heart. I love you Rosie, always will and will never forget you. You're in my heart forever.
Thank you so much for sharing Rosie’s story with us. Your words brought tears to my eyes-you gave her the most beautiful gift: a life filled with love, care, and those cherished daily walks that meant the world to her. I can just imagine her singing for the squirrels and rallying the neighborhood dogs in her joyful symphony. Sleeping downstairs on an air mattress just so she wouldn’t be alone during her hardest days speaks volumes about the depth of your love. Rosie was so lucky to have found you, just as you were lucky to have found her. It’s beautiful that she reached out to you to give her blessing for Chester-another soul who needed the kind of love and devotion only someone like you can provide. Chester is so lucky to walk in Rosie’s paw prints, both literally and figuratively. The way you keep her memory alive by sharing her favorite sniff spots with him is just incredible. Rosie will always be with you, watching over your walks and sending love from the Rainbow Bridge. She knows she was, and always will be, deeply loved. And I’m sure Chester feels that same love radiating through you. Thank you for opening your heart to another soul in need-it’s truly a testament to the special bond you had with Rosie. Sending you so much love, and wishing Rosie a beautiful day on the Rainbow Bridge. ❤🌈
@@Rivers.Of.Spirit Thank you so much. Your words are cherished and mean the world to me. It's been almost a year now and I still have tears. You have help tremendously. Thanks again.

To my baby boy that we rescued at one month old. You are everything and more that could have ever imagined you’d be Dominic The Donkey. My super loving loyal the list goes on, and on. You are the best 7 year old ever! I know you’re not yourself because of your knee, and you need surgery to fix it. Your beyond momma obsessed more than normal I feel like it’s because you know I’m giving you all your medication, and helping you before and will do after surgery. Dominic the donkey mommy will do ANYTHING for you whatever it takes to get you back to your happy playful not in pain self. Mommy is beyond a mess, about her baby, when I got the news from your doctor I started balling like a baby, and asked for him to get you for me.
Thank you for sharing about your sweet Dominic the Donkey - it’s so clear how deeply you love him and how much he means to you. What a lucky boy he is to have a mom who would do absolutely anything for him! That unconditional love and devotion you’ve given him since rescuing him at just one month old is truly beautiful. It’s so hard to see our beloved companions in pain, and it’s only natural to feel emotional and overwhelmed. But Dominic knows he’s in the best hands possible. He trusts you, not just because you’re giving him his medication, but because you’ve been his rock, his protector, and his whole world since day one. While surgery is always a stressful time, it’s also a step toward getting him back to his happy, playful self. Your love and care will carry him through this, just as it always has. Take things one moment at a time, and don’t forget to lean on others for support when you need it - Dominic needs a strong and loving mommy, and you’re already doing an incredible job. Sending both you and Dominic so much love and strength. You’ve got this, and so does he. ♥

I have tears in my eyes listening to the those words. I think every dog owner will have had a tear listening to that, well-written & well-read. You can see my three babies in the picture attached, Lilly, Rosie my Goldies & Norman my Chocolate Labrador. All are loved dearly. If someone were to ask me how will you cope when they pass, I won't. I don't deal with loss well. They are my children, my best friends & my life. Listening to that just made me see even more how precious our dogs & cats, animals in general are. Treasure every moment. The hole in my heart from the loss of my best buddy, constant companion Quigley, will never heal. I would like to believe we will meet again, but don’t know if I can
Thank you for sharing about Quigley - it’s clear how much he meant to you. Losing a best buddy and constant companion leaves a hole that feels impossible to fill, and it’s okay to feel that way. Quigley wasn’t just a pet; he was a part of your soul, and the bond you shared is something truly special. I understand how hard it can be to hold onto hope during such deep grief. While none of us can know for certain, many believe that the love we share with our pets is far too profound to simply end. That kind of connection, built on pure, unconditional love, feels eternal. If you’re open to it, you might find comfort in the idea that Quigley is still with you in some way - in your memories, your heart, and even the small, quiet moments that remind you of him. Maybe one day, when the time feels right, you’ll sense his presence in a way that reassures you that your bond hasn’t been broken. Please know you’re not alone in this, and it’s okay to take your time to grieve and process. Sending you love, strength, and the hope that one day you’ll find peace in the thought that love, in all its forms, never truly fades. ♥

As you navigate this first Christmas without her, I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared-the joy, the laughter, and the unconditional love that will always remain in your heart. Chloe may not be physically with you, but her spirit and the bond you shared will forever be a part of you. Sending you warmth and strength during this tender time. ❤🌟
Pets are gifts from God!
I loved all of mine so much! Pieces of my heart, great memories, the best comforters and companions, and so lovable...so much love! ♥️🥰😢
I hope they are in heaven!
What a beautiful way to describe the love you shared with your pets! ❤ They truly are gifts, bringing so much joy, comfort, and love into our lives. I believe with all my heart that they’re in heaven, surrounded by peace and love, waiting for the day you’ll be reunited. Sending you love and comfort as you hold onto those precious memories. 🐾💖
I'm so sorry for your loss. It’s truly heartbreaking to lose a companion who was with you through every moment. The bond you shared sounds so deep and special, and it’s only natural to feel the weight of their absence. Grief is such a personal journey, and it’s okay to feel everything you’re feeling right now-pain, love, and even hope.
Hold on to the beautiful memories you created together, and let them be a source of comfort. I believe with all my heart that our beloved friends are waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge, full of love and joy to reunite with us. Take all the time you need to heal, and know that you’re not alone in this. Sending you so much love and strength during this difficult time
My condolences to you and I’m sorry for your loss. I thank God every day for the opportunity to take care of these animals financially and emotionally. It’s something I enjoy doing.i love ❤️ animals god knows I thank God for the time I had with my animals, it’s precious and priceless to me unless you’ve owned an animal.I’ve been around them and grew up around them like I have for many years. You don’t understand they’re part of your family. they truly are and their man’s best friend that is a true saying!

Absolutely! Animals have a way of showing unconditional love and loyalty that’s hard to match. They’re pure souls who never judge us-just love us for who we are. It’s one of the many reasons they’re so special!

@@Rivers.Of.Spirit Thank you.
This brings backs memories, of my dog Olly, who passed away recently, and to all the other people, who have lost a pet as well.
We think of them every day, and miss them all.
But, we have our memories, and photos to look at when we feel low, and it just picks us up, thinking of all the good times we had together.

Will my dogs really be there to greet me in heaven?
Yes, many people believe that our beloved pets will be there to greet us when we cross the Rainbow Bridge. The bond we share with them is filled with love, loyalty, and connection. It's comforting to imagine that these beautiful souls will be waiting for us, just as we’ve loved and cared for them during our time on Earth. Whether you believe in the afterlife or simply hold onto the beautiful memories, it’s a special thought that can bring peace to the heart. Our pets are family, and the love we share with them is eternal. 🐾💖
@@Rivers.Of.Spirit I definitely want my puppies and kitties to be there, but some have told me animals don't go to heaven. I try to believe they're wrong, but sometimes I get afraid they won't be.
"LORD", please forgive me, of all my sins. I want to be able to get to "HEAVEN", to be able to be reunited with all my pets, that have gone before me.
I understand how deep and heartfelt this prayer is. The love you have for your pets and the hope of being reunited with them is truly beautiful. Many people believe that the bond we share with our beloved animals is special and that their spirits stay with us, filling our lives with love even after they’re gone. The thought of being reunited in heaven is a comforting one, and I truly believe that love transcends all boundaries, connecting us to our cherished companions. May you find peace and comfort in your faith and the beautiful memories you hold close. You're not alone in this journey-there’s hope and love waiting for you.

Thank you ❤
