I honestly couldn’t figure out what the “pencil sharpener” was until you explained it. I hit the job ASAP and didn’t have time to read up on it yet. Awesome explanation of the tool, I suffered through a dozen halfa** explanation until I landed on yours Thank you
Just bought this. I have some base board moulding to put on. I'm sure I'll find more uses for it through out the years. One thing I laughed about was the pencil sharpener, I unboxed it and was like.....OK a friggen pencil sharpener!!!
Dewalt were kind enough to send this pneumatic finish nailer to review. I can't wait to retire then I can crack on with some projects and put it to good use ;-)
Great video. Do you find that in bump fire mode the nails are left a bit proud (at least compared to single fire) and you need to adjust the depth setting?
Very nice nailer, I have the nailer from Axminster and been really happy with the 18g one. Thanks for the vid might consider that in the future. Take Care, Barry (from West Kirby, Wirral)
Check the magazine is pushing the nails to the front (where the striker is). I would say give it a light oil, but this machine is supposed to be oil free if I remember rightly.
Hi ! This are the best , nails gun 's , fast and easy ', to drive the nails! Some much of times , had completed the jobs !!! ( dewalt's, can be the best on this air gun's ( nails guns
+Ansab Rashid I'm using this one at the moment for my nail guns- ruclips.net/video/jweozLzXfM4/видео.html It requires between 4.8 and 8.3 Bar to operate correctly ( 69Psi - 120Psi ) Thanks for the comment
Hey, I’m thinking about shiplapping a wall in my house. I saw you were nailing a piece of wood into another piece of wood but would that also work with nailing a piece of plywood onto the wall? Also, what powers the machine, does it come with a compressor or do you have to buy it separately? Thanks in advance, Lily
You can only use a nail gun to nail plywood to a timber wall, if the wall is plaster/brick/masonry the nail gun will not work. These types of nail gun work from compressed air, so you need a compressor to run them. You can get mains powered or battery powered nail guns though, but they are more expensive- ruclips.net/video/UAWDfLj6s3M/видео.html A mains powered one, like the one used in this video are much cheaper- ruclips.net/video/ZIusqXKrI7Q/видео.html Thanks for the comment
+Mr2at Yes, for this nailer I'd say it's a fair price. This nailer is oil less so there is no need for oil (I'm not sure bout other brad nailers, but my large nail gun needs oiling). The machine is also very lightweight and compact and requires minimum pressure on the nose for it to operate. The best bet is to go somewhere and try out several similar nail guns to ensure you make the right decision.
yeah, clocked the wink and just worried because home workers can't all afford Dewalt - and that was my issue! nevertheless, this must be a source of income and I'm duty bound to give you feedback! Great work though!
+aaronstill I must give Dewalt top marks for choosing such a long winded model number. Why could they not just have called it a PNB1 or something LOL Thanks for the comment
You're a nice man, with great videos, but I'm giving up, for it seems that Dewalt are your sponsors and I'm not so sure that you have been honest about that with your subscribers. Anyway, thanks and good success!
+classicfm Thanks, I'm totally honest about any tool that I review. My very first comment on here was that Dewalt sent me this nailer to review, I can't be any more honest than that! Dewalt don't sponsor me, Evolution tools don't sponsor me either but they do send me tools to review, which I always do fairly! I have never done a single paid review in all the years I have been making videos. Thanks for the comment.
+classicfm Thanks, I hope that most people know that I'd never accept payment and risk losing the integrity of the channel. Thanks for the comments ;-)

The Pencil Sharpener is a clever idea, haven't seen that before, but does it work on Carpenters Pencils ? Hmm....
+Tom Gorham
Not sure about that, it just seems to be a regular pencil sharpener.
Thanks for the comment
Just purchased this nailer used. Looks like it's in good condition but nails don't cycle out when I fire. Any suggestions?
Check the magazine is pushing the nails to the front (where the striker is).
I would say give it a light oil, but this machine is supposed to be oil free if I remember rightly.
Viejon07 I'm having the same issue. I oiled it and it still won't fire the nails. any help
The compressor I had was too small and didn't have enough pressure. Used a bigger compresor and nail gun worked like a champ
jamil hollinshed just posted on thread... but turned out compressor was too small. Works great with more pressure
Hey just in case anyone from the US is wondering, this is the same as the DWFP12233 18 gauge brad nailer.

I've been thinking about a nailer for some time. At £150, would you say its value for money?
+Mr2at
Yes, for this nailer I'd say it's a fair price. This nailer is oil less so there is no need for oil (I'm not sure bout other brad nailers, but my large nail gun needs oiling). The machine is also very lightweight and compact and requires minimum pressure on the nose for it to operate.

Hi .. I need help to find the date code .. please
There is normally a label somewhere with the model number and date code.
I'm not sure exactly where it is though!
Thanks for the comment 👍
My dewalt has a swivel hose tip..
I can't remember if that came with the stapler, or if I installed my own coupling to match what I use with my compressed air hose.
can't help myself and think of mel gibson whilst watching this.
Puzzled by this comment... Do you have "the hots" for Mel Gibson?
