    I literally needed this so much right now. I never believed and that I will get into my dream uni early on and ended up giving up on myself back in November, barely having the motivation to keep going. When I received offers from both unis I was actually interested in, I couldn't believe it. I gave a lot of strength to actually try again.
    However, I'm full of regret for not having faith just because I was scared of disappointment and only starting to study in April/May. I still have slim chance to get in, but I'm terrified of results day and how am I going to tell my parents if stuff didn't go according to plan. It really is an emotional rollercoaster lol
    I will still try my best regardless, and if I fail, I might as well just skip a year, save up some money and do Access (I'm over 19).

    have got a few offers for dental hygiene / dental hygiene and therapy but I focused more of my time on super curriculars, work experience, making my PS perfect, and practising for my interview than studying and I believe I'll get CDD too or worse when I need BCC. its not the end of the world I know, but the guilt is hitting me right now as I know how disappointed my parents would feel. I regret not properly studying and learning the content but I find it so so hard to sacrifice my free time to study, as the time I spent studying doesn't always end up being useful in tests and I just always feel like a failure. I do chem, bio, maths too and its just too hard. It's so embarrassing admitting that I can't even get a BCC damn. Would they ignore it and what would they do about predicted grades since I wouldn't have any?

    • @ThatMedicSid
      @ThatMedicSid  Месяц назад +2

      Your predicted grades would help out, so for example if you resat your exams and you applied to a that wanted AAA, and your achieved CCC, your predicted grades would be AAA, this tells the uni that you’re capable of getting those high entry requirement grades, and these predicted grades are determined by your teachers, but ofc you can always beg them to give you the best predicted grades

    i've heard that it's a lot harder to get into medicine in the uk if you resit an exam. would you recommend applying to undergraduate medicine after taking a gap year, or to do a degree and apply for graduate medicine?

    • @ThatMedicSid
      @ThatMedicSid  Месяц назад +2

      honestly, i dont think its harder, if anything it will be easier because you have more time to revise and get better grades, and get work experience etc... I'd recommend understand what you wanna do, do you really wanna do medicine? Because at the end of the day doing a 3yr biomed course that you didnt really wanna do, doesn't at all guarantee you a spot for medicine. The harsh reality is you can do a degree and not get in for med. So i'd recommend if you dont get into Med first time round, take the year out and apply again, and if u really dont wanna take the year out, apply abroad in EU, there are med schools in Bulgaria, Romania, Italy etc... all of which aren't too competitive to get into, but that depends on your preference

    • @ThatMedicSid
      @ThatMedicSid  Месяц назад

      i dont think you can apply as an independent candidate, because you need to be with a college/ school because you need to resit exams, its not like you've taken a year out, and have a-level grades and then applying. try and find a private college to do it with, or even a regular one, but best bet is private. they'll pass your practicals anyway thats a not an issue, for predicted grades, ask them their process, i.e., if you can decide your grades yourself or if they predict you themselves.
