A warm tipp for those who grind arrows all the time: take like 30 mins for you and only gather materials for arrows, then craft 2-3 thousand of your prefered types. it saves the annoying grinding and crafting. and imo, f.e. 200 saplings of bushes (for twigs) or smashing an animal den is done faster than it seems. tunr on some nice musik in the background and all the material gathering is done easily. same for ores. take 200 ores with you, empty all ore spots completely (place a workbench nearby). then smelt them. what i wanna say is basically: think way bigger and prepare materials for thousands of arrows in one go. it safes so much repeatitive grinding, and you can go for a long time on adventures with 2k arrows already.
The most annoying grind is for feathers. The drop rate is horrible. The dragon/wyvern things in the south east only dropping 2 or 3 feathers?!? Seriously?. I understand that for say, the chickens. But igant flying creatures should have a few more feathers drop.
imo, arrows that need feathers are only needed for the toughest enemies. shroud arrows with the explosion arrow stun skill are fucking amazing too against any non-shroud enemy. even birds get perma stunned in the sky within the shroud these arrows release. for low to middle enemies, i simply use copper arrows. as for the grind though: i found a nice spot where many of these flying phoenix are. 50 feathers in no time, much more is not needed for 2-3 days of adventure. just dont use these value arrows for everything^^ @@slate613
One thing I love about this game is that it makes trying new builds easier due to the low cost of respeccing. Granted, you still need to grind out all the appropriate gear, but at max level that isn't too difficult. Especially if you enjoy spending time at certain locations around the SE desert area. 😁
- One of the 23 crafted hands are better than 25, coz they give 6% ranged damage and 12% all damage, adding to both pierce and fire damage. - Shell Shock works with Blink damage and explosive grenades. - You can go for Wizard fire damage multipliers for better explosive arrows damage as well as intellect.
It's my understanding that the arrow issue in multi-shot was addressed in the latest patch. a huge update as the grind for arrows for the ranged class is real, especially the feathers.
Thank you , my friend and I are doing coop and shes going shortbow, and i am going longbow explosive goodness. Boyfriends a tank. We were already doing double jump. We already got the backstab buff too. Your tips on multishot will be hugely helpful to my friend because arrows are indeed a grind. TO THE POINT she and I have been splitting ammo types. For her I am thinking we basically give her shortbow all the poison arrows we find /make since that quick application is likely to do wonders with dots. For myself I am mixing in fire damage bonuses - unsure if wizards option to improve the elemental dmg works on bows, but it seems to be working on my sword . ( I am a mix of ranged / mostly melee) I'll have to do more tests. In my case , mixing in an elemental aspect the food buff is slightly more interesting at the end of survival, still toying with it. You absolutely sold us on blink though. Im liking that fire option in my case , but getting out of harms way is clearly vital, and my gosh it looks so responsive not like other games where blink just yeets you off into some random location lol. Thanks so much for quality tips.
On the west side of Brittle Bush on top of 2 of the buildings are gold chests which I got a " ring of stamina " that gives +5 stamina and +5 stamina regeneration, a couple of those might help out your build. You can also get the Gloom Monarch armor set, the Hawk armor set and I think it's the Sorcerer armor set out of them as well as legendaries at level 23.
how do you have so many skill points to invest? i've done all the shroud roots except for like 2 and also level 25,still dont have enough for a lot the skills u have

I'm not a big fan of this game mechanic... tedious grinds for mats just to build ammo for your weapon isn't fun, it isn't engaging, and it doesn't add any challenge... it's just busy work and should be changed... I mean you have an entire build based off of explosive arrows which are an insane grind... no other weapon type has to put up with that... there should be "eternal" arrows you can find like the eternal spells.
Yeah I'm only around level 14 and mage feels such cheese. Fireball or eternal ice bolt, then blocking with shield while using wand to recover mana to do more fireballs. Really wish arrows weren't such a grind, only reason I'm not archer now.
I do hope in later updates we get something like "eternal quiver" like the eternal spells of casters. Hell make them even cost stamina to shoot to make for it PLEASE!

yooo how long time does it take to be level 25? ive been pumping 12 hours into in and only level 6.. Altho maybe 2 hours is purely building. And another 2 hours is for exploring.. But yhe in general..how long time does it take?
Before the patch me and my friends server bugged and we could craft anything infinitely as long as we had the materials, and all the craft tables were crafting infinitely as well 😂 I spammed my space bar on the arrows 😂
Hi How do you get 18 Dex? You haven't even skilled all the Dex points and you get to 18, does an item still give that much Dex or how does that work? I'm only at 17 Dex and have skilled all Dex points.
Get food, check his food also, Vegetable Soup Gives +4 DEX which gives you +5% each DEX = 20% ranged dmg, Chicken Soup gives +1 additional DEX with +4 CON/ Also theres a nice skill passive that lets you have +1 additional good buff.
For anyone having issues with early arrow making you can get a ton of twigs by taking your pickaxe to the wood chip ground inside the wolves dens across the map. i like to mark them with custom markers so i can farm when needed
My Ranger is same mobility but drops ths lvl 30 drake down in 2 shot (every time) ^^ This i would say is mid dmg but not high dmg for a ranger :) But this build is ok so far :)
It's funny, I switched my key bindings, making dodge space bar because o figure I would be dodging all the time with no time to waste and I'd rarely ve jumping, but apparently all you do in this game is jump haha I never see anyone dodge and you can even jump to save energy running. I feel like they messed up with the stamina usage.
You will be dodging as melee or magic but as an archer, you can spend a skill point in order to fire while in the air and float. So as a melee especially, spacebar dodge is still the way to go
Helpful video, but can i suggest some planning/script might help you out? You have soo much rambling and repeating yourself, flying your cursor around the talents so you cant read them etc. Made 3 mins of info into a 15min video..
the only skill i say dont go for is multi shot. its good when surround...ish but a waste of arrows hen its only 1 enemy and it triggers. if youre going to be mobile then there is no reason to invest in it. even on bigger enemies you would have to put yourself in harms way and HOPE it triggers for all 3 arrows to hit.
There's only a very few fixed drops and most suck. All the rest of weapons and gear are random each chest with the higher chests having higher drop rates for leggo's. So the answer to your question is: any silver/gold chest you can find. Also, weapons and gear have levels but there is no level requirement for them to wear. So you could basically go as a lvl 1 to the higher level zones and look for gold chests with lvl 25 drops and wear them 😅
I prefer bows that do more damage. The short bow does less damage per arrow which means more arrow farming. It's only .4 seconds you're saving, not worth it.
If you're looking for raw DPS, the short bows win handedly. Pretty useful in the very late stages when you are constantly facing level 30 enemies. Especially the guys with the green cleavers who are super fast and mobs.
mage is def the most op sadly i loved using the bow but crafting arrows is easy enough but just adds on too not doing enough damage the mobility is the fun part
I mean not really. Infinitely stunning the strongest bosses in the game to death with exploding arrows I would say makes it more OP. You literally stop anything from being a threat if you want to.
What drives me nuts is also how frequent finding magic equipment is. It seems every chest I open has fireballs, lightning, etc. Why can't arrows drop as frequent?

Archery is ok, but fireballs hit for over 1k. Acid spray just obliterates bosses. Mage is too good. Arrows that hit the target should be recoverable.

Magic is way overpowered IMHO. I feel like me choosing to play a ranger is choosing to have a harder playthrough.

Read the comment about preparing for the long run, grind 30 minutes, have 2-3k arrows on you
always grind out and make 2k+ with arrows. most mates are easy to come by.

The second endurance node on survivor and beast master are bugged. They are giving dexterity and not endurance
And SUPER important of you are doing ranged. Should go down the skill tree and get to every dexterity bonus.

That screen generally shows any active food buffs as well.

Dexterity falls short compared to Strength and Intelligence. No love for Rangers.
Really hope magic gets balanced so the but magic is better comments stop in every build video.

It's actually more op than you think. It's not 6% life stolen. It is 6% chance to leech 100% of the damage you dealt instead.

Its a powerful damage buff since it triggers often but yea... that arrow crafting is something else.
